Did u find urself dehydrated more when on Bac?

Hey, Cos: Yes, I still have to remind myself to drink a lot of water, and YES, electrolytes helped me a lot. I now guzzle "Vitamin Water" at high rates!! I started with the electrolytes when my kidneys started feeling sore. Fixed that issue immediately. Alas, one more expense to add to your sober-living cash-outlay.

Thanks, do you think Gatroade would cut it? I have heard some "things" about vitamin water.
      Thx

Sure. Anything with electrolytes. I just seem to have an aversion to drinking anything neon-colored that glows in the dark :H

Something just occurred to me. Keep in mind that the whatever you drink doesn't need to be drunk the way you like to drink. and :H
I think it was pedialyte for me. :H some more.

Yeah, gatorade has always freaked me out a bit. But I have to admit to liking the blue stuff.

My mother has always stipulated, Windy, that all girls get a scar on their eyebrow and all boys under their chin. You just waited too long.
Next time you guys fall on your ass, what's your excuse going to be? I wore a pair of heels to court on Thursday. First time I've been in grown up shoes in a month or so. When I stood up from my chair I wobbled and my lawyer grabbed my arm. seriously.
And no, I haven't done anything wicked. Sort of. I'm thinking I have to downgrade my current car from a 1922 Hoopdy Honda to something a little older and slower. And it's a 4-liter or cylinder or whatever. But the gas pedal keeps getting me in trouble.

well I do 'bout a buck 20 when I drive to Albuquerque from CO on business. I think I need to slow it down but love my 08 Bullitt mustang. 400 miles in 4 hours is my best so far but thinking of scaling back. Keep in mind there's not much between where I live and new mexico.
Scars, I have a couple now thanks to my addiction. Good times.

                fish oil works wonders

One of the drawbacks of bac was that my eyes and tongue felt so dry. Online I found
A cure. I take a caplet of fish oil three times a day and it helps so much.
I can't tolerate high doses of bac but this helps a lot. Good luck

I dont know why but I dont feel dehydrated but I have a need to drink a lot, I mean a very lot and was like that before bac or any meds at all really, I think its part of the habit of drinking AL, I used to drink AL all the time so when I stopped drinking al I still had the habit of consuming liquids. I have found lots of different ones that I like - tea, coffee both caff and decaff, plain water, flavoured fizzy water, juice, herb tea, fruit tea and some of the fizzy and non-fizzy stuff in cans and bottles, dr pepper was a fav of mine but not many of them coz there bad .... non of these are anywhere near a bad as AL so therefore I think they are good.

COS I hope your feeling better after your fall

Dizzy I hope you too are feeling better after your fall, I also hope your dad is going to be ok

I'm guessing it's your second favorite drink. Or you wouldn't be taking bac.

I agree! First winter in memory that I haven't had really dry skin and I credit the gobs of fish oil I take. (I don't know how much. Two capsules. :H) Well, that and no booze.

LOL Ne...yeah wine is the first by far. I am going on Day 2 of being AF. It's not that I don't crave it, but I drank 1 1/2 bottles of wine and felt like I was literally going to die when I woke up the next morning. I could barely stand and my brain felt fried. It was the worst experience I've ever had...worst than any hangover. So today I am feeling 10 times better, like my normal self, since I did not drink last night whew!!

Manoman. I don't relate to what drinking used to be like for me, but I will not soon forget the bac-induced-booze hangovers. Holy cow! And it's been a loooong time. Sorry for that experience, but glad you are feeling better.

I gotta add that even a glass of wine makes me feel yucky for not just one, but a couple of days. It is that, perhaps, more than anything else, (now) that makes it so easy to say no when I am out and could appropriately have a drink. When I weigh it against the things I have to get done in the immediate future, it is so not worth it.

Of course, sugar makes me feel 'less-than' too, and that doesn't seem to stop me from vacuuming up gobs of chocolate.
                          ugh.
Hope it's a good day, peeps! I'm outta here!!!
