    Naltrexone and Paxil

Has any body tried this combination? If so, what were side effects. Did it help depression? Or would it be a no-no combination?

    Naltrexone and Paxil

I was prescribed them together by a very reputable psychiatrist, but it was about 10 years ago. So I don't think it's unsafe. I don't think there'd be any interaction. There may be side effects, but they'd be the same side effects you'd get from each if you took them separately.
"Yet someday this will have an end
All choices made or choice resigned,
And in your face the literal eye
    Trace little of your history,
Nor ever piece the tale entire
Of villages that had to burn
And playgrounds of the will destroyed
Before you could be safe from time
And gather in your brow and air
    The stillness of antiquity."

I haven't tried them together, but my doctor was going to prescribe me naltrexone along with my paxil, but I wanted to try antabuse instead. From that, I would think they would be safe together, or he wouldn't have been willing to prescribe.

As for paxil, i'm on it for anxiety, so no experience with the depression, sorry. But it's been excellent for my anxiety issues. I've heard from others though that's it been good for their depression. Good luck to you, I hope both work well for you.
