Please help me. Im scared and confused.
Hi don, OK I think you need to get this sorted now. What dose are you on now, today, Im guessing 250mg right so then tomorrow go down to 230mg and divide that up into 5 doses a day. You are ill so you need to spend time in bed, the amount of bac you are taking should knock you out of a day, well let it. As for the halucinations, you know what they are so just try and ignore them as much as possible, thats what I used to do when I got them coming off the drink, just say I know your in my head and not real.
I dont know anything about detox from bac, so have no idea what they do in hospitals. I usually think that is the best place to be when you are very ill tho.
Ive said before that I ave no medical experience and am only trying to help as a friend would.
This is going on way too long tho with you feeling so bad. I am worried about you. If you are in US can you phone this Dr Levin and ask him, he seems to be the expert over there.

Calling Dr. L sounds like a great idea.
Also, regarding the hospital, you might try giving the ER a call rather than showing up right away at their doorstep. You could ask about what they will do for baclofen withdrawal and maybe call a couple of different hospitals to find out.
But I agree that this is definitely going on too long, and it would probably be best to get some help. And definitely tapering down from the dose you're taking today SLOWLY. But I'm not a doctor or an expert. That's what Dr. L and the hospitals are for.
I'm worried about you, too. Seriously.

I'm confused. This doesn't sound like...
Huh?
So you took 350mg? And then 80mg? And you're still varying the dose?
For how long have you taken baclofen?
Physical addiction? hmmm.
Rather than withdrawing from it, are you overdosing on it? Repeatedly?
There's some important research you should take with you to the doctor. I'll see if I can find it.
If you choose not to see a doctor, you need to figure out how much you're taking and when. Write it down.
And it still sounds to me that you are taking way too much, rather than not enough. I can't imagine that taking 350mg once or twice would have you physically addicted. I've done it and I wasn't physically addicted. Nor did I crave it. (Just the opposite.) I've never heard of anyone having this experience. Except in cases of Too Much Bac. 80mg at a time? How long have you been on it? That's enough to make someone feel very odd indeed, even after they've been taking it a while.
But it's very confusing.
It's not going to kill you, but it is a very unpleasant thing, I'm sure. And not at all good for you.
All that said, please know that I am NOT A DOCTOR. Nor do I have any medical experience or knowledge. And it sounds like you may need some.
Take good care.

This just does not make sense to me. Sorry but it doesn't. I think you need to go to rehab to be frank and brutal.
It sounds like you are taking bac like a drug to get hi on. Up and down. I don't even know how you can be doing all this.
Just be cool.
If you might go to lock up, you really need to stop this stuff.
I can't wrap my hands around this.
I asked you when you started, how you got to that dose level etc. but no response. You don't have to but something just isn't right here.
Bac is a long tem commitment the way I see it and you can't jump from binging on alc to binging on bac.
Be careful.

donskjr;1328060 wrote: Oh boy this is pretty embarrassing. I had failed to mention to all of you, that I had been doing phenibut very heavily, everyday for 2 weeks prior to starting bac. So all these problems I have been having, have been from phenibut withdrawal not the bac. I didn't know phenibut had withdrawal symptoms. I need to stay away from drugs forever. I obviously can't handle them. I didn't know phenibut had withdrawal symptoms. I haven't done bac in 8 hours and I am sleeping fine and feel great. It was the bac making me feel a little better so I was thinking it was that since I was reading withdrawal symptoms of bac. Sorry for all the troubles. I promise I won't do anymore drugs.
I'm really glad that you've figured out what was going on. That was worrisome for us, I can only imagine how troubling it was to live through!
Phenibut sounds like a dream drug...Except of course it's just another devil in disguise. At least that's my take on it.
As for promising you won't do anymore drugs... You don't owe that promise here, I don't think. I was never any good at keeping that promise, myself. It's why I took baclofen.
So. To be totally clear just in case someone happens by in the future, baclofen wasn't the primary issue. Right? Or perhaps it was, because taking 350mg of it, even after spending months titrating up, can be brutal in terms of side effects. But what you were experiencing isn't really something I've heard of or experienced, even with an unintentional OD...I am really glad (and appreciative) that you explained a bit more of what was going on. It's very hard to keep it all straight, I know.
If you decide to try baclofen to find a way out, there is a way to do it. And you've pretty much figured out that it isn't a very fun drug to abuse. (sorry to poke fun. I'm with you, just ftr. :l)
I hope you'll take good care of yourself. Stuff happens, and we've all been there in one way or another, you know? I know I have.
Don't give up the fight.

Good luck with the stoppage.
You went crazy with the bac. If you really want to do it right you have to have a program I believe.
Clonidine? I though that was for nausea and such. I don't know much about it except from watching some hardcore shows where they were trying to kick H and they would take that patch.
I hope that's not what you are going through. That's tough.
You might want something more powerful like suboxone but that's out of my league big time.
Hang in there. Don't just stop taking things and then binging. I get it, I've done it but it hurts.
You can take some small doses of bac to ween off of it but you might need some benzos with a longer half life to help like klonopin or valium. I am not saying to take drugs to get of drugs but you are in some risky times right now.
Take it easy, try to relax. Lay off the drink if you can but easier said than done. You can't take bac and expect your urges to go away. It's not like that.
That PM if need be.
I opened all that back up.
I had closed down some stuff for a while as there was a lot of drama going on here.
