    horrid time getting off citalopram

I am in the US, det, but limited financially. I would assume such a person would be rather expensive to hire. It does sound great though, lol. Thanks for the information.

he does respond to email question often. worth a try!

also few things to toss your way to think about:

how is your diet? (too many simple carbs and too few good dietary fats are a common contributor to poor physical and mental health per my research).

hows your activity level? vigorous exercise is a powerful mechanism in your mental health, starting with the obvious endorphin release proximal to exercise, but in other much more complex ways as well

are you engaging in 'play' ? play is a paleo term used to describe what things you do to unwind, destress and engage your 'fun factors'. in early paleolithic man this would often be dance, story telling, playing with pets etc etc.

Hey LG... I am on Celexa for the menopausal anxiety crap and I want off it... I am thinking of doing hormone replacement at my next annual exam. Determinator...why did your doctor prescribe Celexa for alcohol abuse. What was it suppose to accomplish for you? I was unaware it is for this... I hate being on something I have to take every day.

The ad mertazapine causes huge weight/appetite increase, I saw this in lots of patients who I nursed If you do research on it you will read this. Great for insomnia, though.

Resrchqueen, a darn fine question indeed! I've learned to be wary and take what I learn from MD's with a grain of salt, and a few weeks of my own research.

            thanks for the info Paula.

based on a 5 minute one-time interview he just arbitrarily figured I should be on it and so the rest was history. WTF? since then I've taken my health very seriously and will be extremely reluctant to start with any kind of medication of this type ever again.

continuing to feel better I'm very happy to report. still some feelings of 'brain fog' but they are less frequent and less severe.

              ADs

I had a bad reaction once to a generic AD.
I just went off, though I know you are supposed to wean off, and the bad effects wore off. I don't plan on taking them ever again.
