When we switch..
Ok so this is one thing I have been very curious about. So when we hit the "switch" we still go through some sort of physical withdrawl right? Is this lessened by the bac or will it still be just as strong as a CT quit without it? I want to prepare myself as I have already noticed a decrease in AL intake and I am starting to exebit some insomnia. A Withdrawl symptom I get when I don't consume tons of AL on any given night.
Thanks for any advice!Tags: None

When we switch..
Hiya, Helix.
No. It doesn't work like that. You won't experience any withdrawal, unless you stop drinking very suddenly. And generally by the time people find they don't want to drink (the switch) they haven't been drinking very much for a while.
Baclofen causes insomnia and sleep disruption. It's a very common and very debilitating side effect. It's very important to get enough sleep in general, so combatting this side effect should be a top priority! It can certainly be exacerbated by decreased alcohol consumption, but I've never heard of one person who reached indifference, stopped drinking, and suffered from withdrawal. Generally we are all pretty elated when we get to that point!
Hang in there!
