    Apnea and Bac

So anyone find a workaround for this (for those that suffer from it)?

It drives me up a wall. I snored when I drank hard. No surprise there.

Now I have something closer to apnea and I swear it's from the baclofen.

Not sure if I have this, as what I can tell about sleep apnea people who suffer from it don't know they have it. They just wake up tired and don't know why. I think I have something closer to sleep anxiety or something, but I do feel like I can't breathe--or at least like I need to remember to, and concentrate on, breathing.

My workaround is keeping some kind of sugar/carb snack and a pack of smokes on the nightstand. That way when I wake in a terrible panic my meds are right there.

Not helpful at all, as far as advice goes, but it's what I've got.

Yeah, I've had the anxiety thing. This is more like snoring but with a touch of not getting a breath or making a ton of noise. Even when I am not breathing through my mouth.

Smokes probably would not help. My wife would be less than happy with that one, also. I am more of a cigar smoker.

Interestingly, I think i have sleep apnea exacerbated by the bac. In fact, I'm doing a sleep study in a couple weeks to determine. As many of you know, I'm having a devil of a time with bac these days. If I' ain't gettin oxygen enuff to my brain while sleeping, that could be making matters even worse!

Well, it's an established SE of baclofen that it exacerbates sleep apnea.
Now if I could just find a ways around it.

you have to sleep with one of those contraptions that fit over your face, right?

It sure would be nice if they could invent something more "user friendly" for sleep apnea.

I have noticed in past times taking Bac that I feel like I stop breathing and wake myself up with a huge snort! I found it frightening. Never did figure out how to stop it.

No contraptions for me. I was fine before the bac.

I do get the symptom like Phin above.

Back up to 220 right now. Probably stay here. Maybe 230 which was my original switch.
Finding myself having a drink or 2 now and then. Nothing bad and that's where I wanted to be.
However, I would rather not even care at all for it again.
