Did an abrupt titration a couple weeks ago

I have been experiencing abject anxiety, panic and depression, that I'm pretty sure is bac related--many of you have read my previous threads.

When I was up at 370 Dr L instructed me to go quickly down to 300.

Continued down with titration of 10 to 20 mg per week, with little to no improvement.

At one point, when I was at 220, I as having such an esp awful time that I decided to titrate down 70 mg in similar fashion to what Dr L had recommended. Stayed there for a week now I'm at 140.

Still not doing much better, if at all.

Did that second abrupt titration do me any kind of extra harm? I didn't experience anything acute--no shaking or tremors, heart racing etc. I felt better for a couple days and then the same symptoms set in again.

Psychiatrist has had me on 20 mg valium daily for the last month--I usually only take half that, sometimes 15 mg for obvious reasons. Don't want to create even more problems down the road. The valium takes the edge off the symptoms to where it's within the realm of bearable. But that's about it.

140 mg is certainly doing the trick as far as the alcohol is concerned. I can have 3 or less no prob.

Any suggestions as to what I should do? Titrate up? Continue down slowly?
    Will this abate???

It's been going on for a month and a half. Don't understand what, how or why, but something went dreadfully wrong, somewhere along the way.
Indifference 350 on 9/20/11. Titrated down to 180 got the cravings. Titrated back up to mid-300's and all Hades broke loose. Hope to get better.

Stay where u r at. Don't depend on anyone but yourself to get you where you need to be. Just being honest.

20MG of Val is not horrible. Just don't stay there if you can help it. Better than being on a drink binge.

Sometimes life seems unbearable and there are no answers.

There are people that have much bigger problems than us on this forum so let's all be subjective.

Hang in there TX. I am sure it will get better. Are you in Houston? I get down there on biz now and then so perhaps we can meet up.

Just hang in there! You can do it.

Thanks for checkin in! I"m in austin.
I'm managing things with 10mg of the val
Without white knuckling it that is. I will go up to the prescribed 20 to manage panic if need be. My doc has known me for 10 years and knows that i'm not the histrionic type and that when i say i'm in a panic i dang sure mean it!

Des, so hurt by your remarks.

I've been on the road and I am now. 12 hrs of meetings.

TX so sorry if I lumped you into Houston. God forbid.

Des, some of us work a lot and can only chime in when possible.

        Get a life would ya?

BTW, you left your prosthesis at your paid acquaintance's home the other day. He said it's time to upgrade.

TX, I hope things work out for you, I can't really say what you should do, but i will say that I have titrated to 200mg/day over the course of 4 months and have had no issues with anxiety ... but this thread has me a bit worried. Thank you for sharing your experience, I hope I don't get the same, but will not be surprised if it happens.

Desperados ... dude, why does it seem like every thread you comment in is negative. The last thing we need in here is a bad vibe and that is what you are bringing in here. Cos contributes a lot to this project and I think he deserves a little more respect than what you have given.
