Just curious. Could not find a better topic to post this in.

Those that do jump in (if they are moderators) seem to have agendas. There's a lot of creeps jumping around in here.

Do we just ignore them?

Shoot, zap me. I just don't understand this lack of oversight.

I liked this forum but it's like anything goes except when you offend a couple folks and then there are some that are out of control and don't get kicked?

Hmmm,
My understanding of "Moderator" would be those who are keeping watch to see that people who are in danger of offing themselves get some serious help, and I haven't seen that happening. Cos, not sure what else you are referring to? but that is what I have seen but I don't read around too much.

I've been a right pain in the ass in the past. I'm an alkie... lovely person sober and a nightmare when drunk. And the moderators (OMG... I feel really bad for them, I really do... God Bless...) ... they let me get away with it.

So... I will answer your question. There is empathy on this site... and it rocks!!! The Mods ain't daft. LOL... they let me fly with my nonsense and that can only mean they are sound... I mean well but I can come over all wrong... and it looks like they got it.

I frequent several of these community message board systems. Sometimes the moderators/admins are highly visible, sometimes not.

I actually used to be an Admin on a message board with this exact platform(Vbulletin) so I know a little about the behind the scenes.

For whatever reason, on this board, mods(if there are any) and admins(the creator of site, or mod trusted with admin permissions) dont seem to surface.

For the most part this board is self governing, and I have yet to see any real issues. Sure there are disagreements, but thats ok.

I am not talking about folks that come on and have issues.
I am referring to people that come on have little to no posts and start trouble.

There are a few of us that see them and they are ones that sometimes get the boot but get a screen name and are back.

I am on other forums and I will see a mod chime in now and then. I am not sure one exists here except a couple folks that take it upon themselves to give others a hard time when they get a conflicting opinion.

Ever here of a lurker? Someone who jumps on and starts trouble. No real comments except to piss people off. We have one that is doing it under multiple screen names now.

I don't like a police state but this is ridiculous.

I think I know to whom you are referring Cos - lurking around anything to do with balofen or benzos with 2 or so posts to their name? Back in the good old days the moderators ( not modders!!) would have jumped on that - try messaging them or the people that sell the book/ supps etc you may get some joy...

I might. It just seems odd. Is no one else chiming in on this?

I can see this person has been on before and has bad blood with someone. It may be legit but this person has nothing to add.

I noticed another screen name with some obvious ties to the same person and yet another that seems to be related.

There's another forum I am on where they let a lot go but would never let this fly. It'a big reason I have not been on here much.

There's a lot I can weigh in on as far as bac and such but it's so petty here anymore...

Like I said this did not used to be tolerated here. One person tried many times to come back under several names and they were banned - don't personally know of any others. The people here have the right to have moderators on the forum to keep things like this in check- you can pm them through your pm site. They are pretty obvious if we are talking about the same people. I've had this name since 2006 and I'm sure have gotten up people's nostrils but I have seen bad bad stuff happen with people getting kicked and keep coming back over and over....
