Ideally? Get supervised by a quack rather than just do it themselves. Don't get me wrong, I was self-medicating depression for many years with alcohol and self prescribing SSRIs and NDRIs. I also went down the self-prescription baclofen route. As well as other mood enhancers, such as Gabapentin and marijuana. But I fucked up with a lot of that stuff, as you know from posts on here as well as private communications. The point is: smart though I am, impressively high IQ though I have, savvy meds kid though I like to think I am, I really haven't a clue what the fuck I'm doing, cos I ain't a doctor.

My point remains: if you have mental health issues you really ought to be medicating under the supervision of medical professionals. If you can't do that, then self-prescribe away but be ready for it all to go to shit. If it does, don't go blaming the drug, blame your own mental health.
