So what's the chances of getting Dr L to fax any kind of documentation backing baclofen to my doc?
Would love to get my bac from my GP instead of paying $140 every 3rd refill.

Anyone else deal with him on this? He's kind of "odd" with me.

Why don't you print out any of the several legitimate studies/papers? I'd start there. And if it comes to it then a phone call * might* happen. Plus what would he send? There's more info here than what he has. By far. Good luck

Well, my doc wants something from a doc. Not me. I don't know what he is going to send. Probably nothing. Everytime I call him I get a new bill so I am not sure I want to call. Guess the beat goes on.

My doc just said he needs something to document it so in case he's audited. Who knows. I hate our health system.

Yeah. I hear you. I logged back in because I thought my answer was flippant, but only because I'm rushed. And I totally get it. I avoid that call, too. At all costs.

The stuff I'm referring to is from respected journals, not just internet hoodoo-voodoo. I brought it to my doc(s). I've never asked them to prescribe, though. And I understand what you're saying.

I would just call him. I don't really know what he would send. I've never heard of him doing that before. Plus, and I mean this in all seriousness, what would he send? The same journal articles that you have access to and he does not know about? Or perhaps your doc is simply looking for something that says that you have a legitimate prescription? If that's the case, then send L a SASE with a check and ask nicely. That's what I've done...It's worked and it's cheaper in the long run. I have heard of him talking to docs on the phone, and I figure he'd do that.
I don't really understand why he's sending bills for refills now. It's very confusing, and frankly a bit...mercenary. I like to think better of him.
There's also the ongoing issue of his absolute insistence that people stay at (or very near) their switch dose, (nuts) and the SE denial, (ridiculous) and the 99% success rate (absurd). But what're you going to do? He's what we've got. :-/

Good luck, for real. And let us know! I would really love to figure out a solution. I've been stockpiling for years just in case he gets hit by a bus. Or something less unpleasant.

You could print out every page that I've linked to in my sig "Consolidated...", send it to Dr. L (Tell him him Robert Evan Picard compiled these) and ask him to forward it to your GP. But you'll have no luck with that. Dr. L will call him, he likes to to that I think.

There are/will be better options very soon. I promise.
