It occurs to me that for anyone introducing liquid bac to their own kangaroo, or gorilla, etc, from the very beginning, it's important to figure out a reliable way to measure small doses, consistently. I've seen liquid bac in 40 mg bac/ml and 20. At 40 mg bac/ml, even .5 ml is 20 mg bac. Which is a LOT more than recommended, at the beginning. I think the latest from Dr. L. is even to start at 5 mg/day. (Sometime can correct me, or help me find a link to that info ?).
Until individual doses get higher, here's an idea for small and consistent doses:
Buy a sports bottle that has ML markings on the side. If the liquid bac is 40 mg/ml put 800 ml water, or sports water, or whatever you like, into it. Then add 1 ml bac. Each 100 ml of from that bottle will equal 5 mg bac. Liquid bac at 20 mg/ml would require 1/2 that amount, 400 ml, of liquid to produce the same 5 mg/100 ml dose.
Just make sure you shake the heck out the bottle each time your pour (or drink) your 100 ml/5mg dose. This is also a pretty great idea for transporting liquid bac around during the day. This is the kind of bottle I'm talking about: Amazon.com: Nalgene Tritan Wide Mouth BPA-Free Water Bottle: Sports & Outdoors Not promoting an sports-bottle maker, but I do like it's environmental qualities!
I actually have 2 prescriptions (ssshhhh) for baclofen - one for 80 mg/day from a local doctor, and one for massive amounts each month from Dr. L. They both wrote my scripts for 20 mg pills, so it's not nearly the "bargain" of the 10 mg pills. But all that said, I STILL prefer, use, and buy liquid bac (but only for my kangaroo, who is a mess!).
Hope that's useful info for someone . . . especially new folks who have the incredible resource of liquid baclofen from "go!" Onward! Toward never drinking against your will, again!! EVER!!
