Where to get Baclofen

Alky;1504049 wrote: Bacon, I can't stand that self-righteous soberrecovery.com crowd, which is why I'm here. The most innocuous and well-intentioned mention of any type of medication always got me a nasty message from the moderator (I think her name was Carol), so I finally just asked them to delete my account. God forbid we help each other. Anyway, Otter posted Dr. L's contact information on this thread:
I had issues with a few of the moderators. If you are not talking about AA then they come down on you. It should not matter what it takes to get sober, just so you do it.

I know this sounds a bit blunt (please don't take offense - I don't mean to offend), but a lot of people on this site have found success in staying abstinent with the medications you say you've tried. What is your commitment to staying sober? Because in my opinion, I don't think there's any drug that can overcome a lack of true commitment to being AF.
I give in easily to the cravings. I really want to quit drinking but I am just so damn lonely. I have isolated myself over the years and I do not really have any friends. My family is just miserable to be around. In fact they make me want to drink more. I really want to stop though as I know that nothing will change until I do.
Keep posting and reading....and feel free to PM me if needed. Thanks Rusty. I will take you up on this
Oh! I think there is a rehab in Wisconsin in which a really progressive psychiatrist prescribes medications to treat the disease. I don't have specifics, but I found it a couple of years ago with a google search. I may have it wrong, but I would certainly suggest pulling out google and calling the addiction specialists. Good luck!
I will have to look into this. Thank you everyone for the great input. I am a little worried about the side effects of baclofen as I tend to be pretty sensitive in that way.

I had a look at the site mentioned and it freaked me out. Cultish, self-righteous and just plain ignorant. It should warn that non AA believers are not welcome.

          Where to get Baclofen

Hi! I'm new to this forum. I was brought here by my search for topamax. I last took it nearly seven years ago. I've been on naltrexone for the past year and no having much success these days. My doctor asked if I was interested in Antabuse, but I'd prefer to go back on topamax. Unfortunately my current doctor will not give it to me. I've never heard of baclofen. Any thoughts/comparisons between the two. Also, are their any "reputable" pharmacies I can order from without a script?

Bac(lofen) and topa are two very different things. And bac is way different from naltrexone, too. Soooooo...

You'll want to do a google search for Dr. Olivier Ameisen. He wrote a book called Heal Thyself, which is a good overview/beginner's guide to bac, and a decent read as well. And, just to get you started, here's an interview with him on Good Morning America:

The bac-path isn't exactly an easy one--which is why many of us are here in the first place. If it was just a matter of taking a little pill (or many, many little pills like all the time throughout the day ), there'd be no need for all this support in the forum. But many people here have found relief from their alcoholism with bac, in varying degrees. Some a little, some completely.

Anyway, stick around for a while, read a little bit of what's here, and ask as many questions as you like. We're always open.

[EDIT: Oh, and what the hell. This can be a little overwhelming, but it's simply one of the best places to start: https://www.mywayout.org/community/f2...ead-38718.html.]
