I had issues with a few of the moderators. If you are not talking about AA then they come down on you. It should not matter what it takes to get sober, just so you do it.
I give in easily to the cravings. I really want to quit drinking but I am just so damn lonely. I have isolated myself over the years and I do not really have any friends. My family is just miserable to be around. In fact they make me want to drink more. I really want to stop though as I know that nothing will change until I do.

[/QUOTE]Oh! I think there is a rehab in Wisconsin in which a really progressive psychiatrist prescribes medications to treat the disease. I don't have specifics, but I found it a couple of years ago with a google search. I may have it wrong, but I would certainly suggest pulling out google and calling the addiction specialists. I will have to look into this. Thank you everyone for the great input. I am a little worried about the side effects of baclofen as I tend to be pretty sensitive in that way.
