    Campral Bad Side Effect

    I took one 333 mg Campral yesterday along with my 100 mg Zoloft which I've been on for 11 years. Everything was going fine until about an hour and a half later. I started getting side effects that are listed on the "serious side effects list" which include

    ? fast or pounding heartbeats;
    ? feeling like you might pass out;

    I couldn't lay down; had to keep moving, otherwise I felt like I would start "freaking out" over the nervousness of it all.

    I have reacted this way to Zoloft when I first started taking it, and to too large of a dose of Topamax. Therefore, I am thinking this is just a normal reaction for my body.

    Wanted to know if anyone else also experienced this?

    No desire to drink, which was great. Want to take another today, but worried.

      I tried Campral a few years ago and my only SE was serious diarrhea. I had to quit taking it.

      I would call my doctor about your reaction, if at all possible.

        I would, except I took one of my husband's. I know, terrible thing to do! But I didn't want to go BACK to my doctor to ask for yet another pill unless I know it works.

        Well, it definitely worked, but for about 1.5 hours I wasn't very pleased!

        Thanks Cindi. Sorry I've been lost for a few months with a little sobriety here and there. My hubby and I are bad influences on each other. At least he finally got meds.

          I didn't have these side effects, most people just have the GI disruption and that's it. Perhaps it's a reaction to one of the fillers?
          I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

          Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

            Sounds like a drug allergy, I would not take that drug again if I were you, you're describing an allergic reaction which may be worse next time.

              Whe I took it a few years ago the only thing I had was slight tummy upset which seems to be pretty usual and the only se most people get from this. You say you have had this happen with other meds so may well be you are sensitive to something. The normal dose for campral is two tablets three times a day anyway and you took way less than that.
