Abstinence Challenge
We're meeting for lunch and I get to be the DD.
I'm gonna laugh on the way home after he finishes 2 beers and says: "What the hell did I just do that for?" :H:nutso: I take pride in my humility :nutso:
:what?:

Abstinence Challenge
Long term, extended challenge is my plan. Kinda like what's been done here before by folks that aren't around as much like Tiptronic or Bminor and others. Today... I think I will try one to see what it's like post switch. I haven't completely made up my mind, but I don't want to be swearing off the devil juice for the rest of my life. That kind of thinking drives me nuts. Thanks for asking Xadrian and your new avatar is awesome!

I'm more of a moderator, but I think I'll jump on the bandwagon and try abstaining insofar as not keeping alcohol in the fridge anymore. (Lol- remember when we used to try and tell ourselves that in the throes of desperation?) This will probably mean abstaining on week nights and maybe drinking out on weekends.
Even though I only drink 1 beer on weeknights, it's still enough to wreck anything productive like guitar, programming or exercise. The switch doesn't free you from the mindset of being a lazy ass in s continual state of "celebration" every time you crack one open.

I used to marvel at people who could keep beer in the fridge--or make cocktails with the full bar's-worth of liquor stashed away in a cupboard somewhere. "How the heck do you keep beer in the fridge?" I'd ask them... I had no idea.
Most of the time it was just buying what I knew I'd drink that night. Then it got to be making sure there was a bottle stashed somewhere for the next day. Ugh.
Now I've had a 6-pack taking up valuable space in my small fridge for the past 2 1/2 months. Don't know why I haven't at least moved it into the closet or something...

Holy shit. 30 days. When we started this, I fully thought I would not be one that made it to the end. My tickets to the game came through and I am ready to roll. I was making it a point to not put limits on my drinks last time. I wanted to just stop when I felt like it. I'm putting limits this time. 3 when I am away from home and 4 when I am at home. I think those r very reasonable. Ofc tonight will be 4 because those $15 8 oz beers are a joke. Anyways, I'll see how I feel. I think this will be the first time I actually eat some ballpark food and am not obsessed on what inning they stop serving beer.... And ok this is the last inning how many can I order at one time? We really need to leave early and go to the bar. Hahahaha I'm gonna have fun tonight. Thanks for the 30 days of support everyone. I'll report later tonight.
Also I have been stepping down my dose. I slept a little last night. When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.

All I have to say is Juan is now officially a wussy. Give him credit though, he tried.
Does 3/4 of a beer even count?
The burger was good though. :thanks: Juan.:nutso: I take pride in my humility :nutso:
