    Abstinence Challenge

    Day 12 AF

    Comment

      Abstinence Challenge

      Day 1 AF complete.

Actually I think it's day 9ish. But I'll start over because of the gym thing.

A fitness thread would be difficult for me to maintain with all that I've got going on right now. But as soon as I get a couple of weeks in and have my routine established I'll post my 4 days of lifting and the macronutrient breakdown of my meals and when I eat them for everybody (for days on and days off).

I don't think I could have been nearly as contented about anything without peanut MnMs. And lots of 'em. And Reese's. I don't get it, actually, when people try to give up things they love when they're trying to give up something that has them enslaved. But to each their own.

I have no interest in getting into fitness and/or nutrition because it brings out whack-a-doo in the best of us. But I did want to post this for those of us who find getting enough cardio really tough:

Best Damn Cardio Humanly Possible in 15 Minutes | Arnold Schwarzenegger

Take it for what it's worth. And it's especially for Cassander.

Woot! Me, too. Though the day's not over. And I'm supposed to go to the Civic League meeting tonight. Which is enough to make anyone want to drink from a flask under the table in the Middle School library. That's pretty much where this all started for me, literally, and so maybe I'll just avoid the busy-body know-it-alls and stay home. Whew. Thanks for the help, peeps. I needed that bit of clarity!

(Anyone else around here busted for bringing booze to school when they were 13? Ah, the good ol' days. )

Ack. Sorry for posting the link to the article. It's not like there aren't 857,917 similar ones...
And to be totally honest, I pulled an O____r and didn't even read the whole thing. I did think the part about ways in which you can get the cardio that improves your health was interesting.

Hope it's a good AF day, everybody.

Anybody do kettlebells? I can blast through 600 calories in about 35 minutes with an average heartrate of 160 and peak heart rate of 187ish. My goal is to do the kettlebell benchmark of 1200 calories in an hour. (When I'm properly conditioned for it)

A year ago, for anybody following my thread, I tired out at 50 calories. I'm positive that some of the weight I've gained is muscle (you can actually tell by looking at my arms and shoulders) but it's this damn ssri gut that needs to go!

I've done some Kettlebells, good workout! I'm going with traditional weights for the time being but once I finish a couple goals I'm going to be phasing back in some Kettlebells to my workout. Sounds like they're a great workout for you, and you've come a long way. I know what that feels like... feels empowering, eh?

The story of my life, LA. I always felt sooo much sexier with a couple of fifths in me and forgetting to eat for 4 days a week (I might not have looked sexy to other people lacking their beer goggles though) Kinda like that intermittent calorie reduction deal, eh Lo0p? Kinda...

Anyways, 9 days AF and 15lbs down on Bac.

Day 16 AF. Looking forward to a big, guilt free, cheat meal on Thanksgiving, in which I'll indulge in anything I want except I'll do it sober- looking forward to spending the holidays without alcohol.

Sometimes it helps to add a little vampire laugh in at the end. Try doing it like this and you might have more fun:

                              One- ha-ha-ha-hah!, Two- ha-ha-ha-hah!, three- ha-ha-ha-hah!...
