Now when I post sick responses, there's going to be no one to laugh and come back at me with an even sicker/more gross thought. I had a lot of fun horsing around in here with him. I need to find when we went off on a angry gay tangent on one thread. No one thought that was funny but us!!!! Juan actually tried to play moderator (as he always does) cause he thought we were serious. Gonna miss u sick-o.

On another side of him. He was one of few that returned my private message to help me. And only one of two that reached out to me on the phone when I was really low. Thanks to both of you.

Day 3. I was drunk when I got the news and have not had the urge to touch it since. As skullbaby said, let's honor Evan by being sober.

Now that he's gone being sober is not only the respectful thing to do, but a practical and necessary thing to do. We can't just take for granted anymore that he's going to be there for us in a pinch- and he always was.

I'm broke this Christmas and didn't get anything for anyone. Next year I would like to tell my family that I gave them sobriety for the past year- that would touch them more than any token item.

Haha, JDizzle...I'm up for a good laugh. It won't be as classy coming out of my fingertips though. It can get as boring as some AA's I've been to in here.

Fred, Evan wasn't sober. He just wasn't a drunk anymore. He'll understand a freeing drink here and there. I believe his departure brought much of the community closer. We kind of needed that. However, now it's up to us to do the massive amounts of research instead of running to our beloved "doctor"/therapist. He's drinking it up with Ameisen and his Aunt right now, for sure

Day 5. I even brought some yummy craft beer to dinner and kind of forgot about it. Weird....

JD! We can all relate to hating everything the day after a good saucy night. I recall the only thing getting me through that next day was MORE alcohol.

Feck that nonsense.

It's day one...we have lots of those, but soon enough...that day one turns into 3 days...by day 3 you're starting to feel better...then, a week...a week to a month...

It seems like forever from where you're sitting...but man, once you're feeling better, the next of days will run much smoother.
