Fear and Procrastination
Hi everyone, I am sorry to say I do not post much. I know that should change in order for help to happen. Anyway, I received an order of liquid bac last friday and I have yet to open it and start. I have given myself a start date of Sunday 6/30. I have had a great deal of turmoil with my eldest son and it is causing a great deal of stress and sadness. Not to mention my youngest just turned 10 so we are having a birthday party tomorrow hosting 12 girls! So I figured I would start Sunday. I need to start Sunday. I am afraid of all of this..the medication, the SE 's the change (even if it is for the best) and my and my family's future with my change. I just need to know I am doing the right thing and love to hear all the stories of benefits of bac. I am ready for a "normal" life not the roller coaster I currently live!
Thanks, ChrisTags: None

Fear and Procrastination
Hi, Chris,
I was just thinking today how grateful I am that I started bac last Dec. I'm leaving on a trip on Tuesday and I did start getting nervous last Friday. So I calmed myself, made a list and started doing what I need to do. Never before have I been so aware of plane schedules, possible train times, how much $ I can spend, which bank card to move it to so ATM use is cheaper and on and on. I just used to drink my fear/anxiety away and go by the seat of my pants! I once flew to Switzerland and didn't realize I had to connect in NY!
I feel alive, mostly happy and much healthier. For me, it truly is a new world since I started on bac. Within a day I knew that my brain needed bac. I've benefitted way more from it than just stopping habitual, crazy drinking.
I had SEs, but they're not so easy to remember now. I went slow and steady titrating. That's what I'd suggest if you're worried. Post when you start and let everyone know how it goes.

Fear and Procrastination
Hi Chris -Change, wether for better or worse is always scary for many of us. I hope you will at least five it a try. You will be amazed (usually) in short time. For me, I was/am so much better able to deal with stressful situations now than when I was drinking. In fact, I think I was creating a lot of my stressful situations because of the alcohol. Glad to see your post and will be wishing the best for you.

Thanks again!

From now on, you are going to take back what alcohol stole from you and your family.
You're not alone.Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I put my liquid bac into La Croix (carbonated flavored water). I'm not taking much so I drink it within an hour or so. It may be my imagination but I think I had fewer SEs with the liquid. I think it's just your preference how you want to take it.

Oops, my apologies kronkcarr. I spelled your name wrong in the above post. I was in a rush to post and get out the door. Then I was having computer difficulties with my post, so there were two of them that were similar. I've deleted one. :-)This Princess Saved Herself

Hi Chris, just a note to send you encouragement. Sounds like you've been taking bac now for a couple days. I know it's super early, but how's it going so far, any SE's or any change?
I'm a relative newbie with bac as well but I have noticed many positive effects and am encouraged at the positive progress... Anyway hope all's well with you

U should put off the fear of procrastination till tomorrow. Tomorrow's always my busiest day of the week. When you're riding in a time machine way far into the future, don't stick your elbow out the window, or it'll turn into a fossil.

Fear and Procrastination
My tomorrows are always filled with a bunch of shit! Sorry can I swear? So I've been taking 15mg ( liquid equivalent) since Sunday. I do feel even tho it's early that I have more restraint. I did have a couple beers last night watching fireworks and boy they hit me quicker than ever! I also notice I was just yacking away..blah, blah ... I looked over at my husband at one point and he was kind of nodding off in his chair. I laughed a bit and said we should go inside to sleep. As far as SE's go I have had bouts of tiredness nothing too unbearable or unusual. I take a B complex in the AM and PM( around 3 pm) I think it helps. I had a headache yesterday nothing to bad, and a little dizziness. I plan on increasing my dose on Saturday to 30 mg and see what happens. I'll let you know.
Thanks guys!
