Urgent: Dr. Levin can no longer prescribe baclofen
Hate to to the bearer of bad news, but Dr. Levin has lost the ability to prescribe anything out of state. It appears he got into some trouble with California/Washington, and his attorney is advising him to stop filling out-of-state prescriptions. Current prescriptions with refills should be refillable (I refilled mine last night), but it doesn't look like refill requests or new prescriptions will be authorized. Figured I'd make everyone aware so they can make arrangements sooner than later. :sigh:Tags: None

Unfortunately, this is not a false rumor. You can contact Dr. Levin yourself and verify if you'd like.
Just got off the phone with him. He says it's 'temporary' but has no timeframe for when he'll be able to prescribe again, and suggests contacting a local doctor.

I called him today, too. He is unable to prescribe, in general, out of state. He says he has some flexibility depending on the state. I wouldn't (and am not) counting on it. Hopefully we can work together to make sure that everyone keeps their supply steady and doesn't need to take drastic reductions.

You can get baclofen from
1) overseas sources,
2) liquid stuff which seems legit,
3) a local doc which may prescribe up to 80 mg/day.
A doc can't prescribe out-of-state to many people he has never met, and not expect to be investigated. He doesn't even know much about bac ("no side effects") and has no background in pharmaceuticals.
At his age, I expect him to "voluntarily" retire rather than to have his medical license revoked.

Right but, correct me if I am wrong: 80/day would very rarely be enough to hit the switch, right?
Also, what exactly do you mean by 'legit'?
I know I can order online. I was just trying to get a doc to supervise me. It's not exactly candies we are taking.
For what it's worth, I just called dr. Levin: he was having trouble with is pc and could not stay on the phone, as he needed to send an important document asap. He asked to call him back tomorrow, at which point I asked if he'd be able to help me even if I am in Florida. He did not say no. He said we would have to talk about it in detail and that he could not do it right away but on a different occasion - he really needed his PC to work... I don't know what to think...

From what I read here, I think the liquid baclofen is prob. the best way to get HDB. It is legit in that the bac is real, and you will get what you order. It is a different matter from if HDB is the drug for you.
Twenty years ago, my PC was hooked up to my phone line. I didn't know that is still done now.
