    RIP LoOp

Oh My Gosh .... I am so shocked by this news. He was SO devoted to everyone here and into Bac - he was SO young. This is terrible news - my heart goes out to his family. Thank you for letting us know - I just cannot believe it yet! I never took, not wanted to take, Bac - but he was SO helpful to anyone that was interested - I am really sad to hear this news.......

This is a shock. May God rest his soul. He was a pioneer - always on the edge - sometimes reckless - but what a help to so many - blazing the trail for us. If I'm successful when I start baclofen in a week or so it will be because he did the heavy lifting...

        RIP LoOp

I never really know what to say at terrible times like this.

        But I'll try.

Baclofen saved Lo0p and he made it his mission to pay back. He devoted his life to it and it seems he may have given his life to it.

Lo0p was a good and loyal friend of this community. I had numerous interactions with him off this board and found him to be a wonderful and exceptionally caring person. There are many examples of this, but his total support for Dr Levin was a great example.

There is so much evidence that liquid bac often works better than pills. Evan understood this. When will the government and medical and pharmaceutical communities make baclofen and liquid baclofen available to alcoholics?

And when will the medical community accept responsibility for comprehensive medical treatment of alcoholics?

        Where are the doctors?

        RIP, Lo0p.

        Baclofen works. You knew it.

wow, I spoke to him on the phone only two weeks ago. This is terrible news At least he leaves knowing that he helped so many, including myself. The best way one can live their life is to give back and help those around you and he did just that.

This makes me so very sad. I have followed his posts for a very long time. I never took BAC but was amazed by him and his dedication to helping fellow alcoholics. I am just so sad.

I pray that he is with his brother now and that his family and friends find some comfort and peace.

I'm not going to read through all the responses to this, because I can't accept that this could be true. I am numb. I was on my way to the post office tonight to mail Christmas cards when I got a text to look at MWO. His Christmas card was in the stack. I mailed it anyway.

I still haven't read the responses, but I know it must be true. Oh God, I hurt so much inside hearing this. I can't even begin to express how much it hurts. He was such a beautiful spirit-an amazing human being.

I'm sorry if this is, in fact, the case. If it is so... Rest in peace LoOp, in the knowledge that you enlightened people as you went along on your own journey...

OMG this is so distressing. Ne (if you here ) can you post and confirm this is true? I know you and Evan are close so can you confirm of his death? It just is impossible to believe at this moment. I hope I am not out of line either Reggie.

                              RIP LoOp

This is very real, I've even spoke with his dad briefly and have been in very close contact with the member that has been in contact with his mother many, many times. I know and understand it's hard to wrap your head around this tragic and sudden loss. I tend to think that this is some horrible dream at times too, or a very cruel joke. But please, give yourself this opportunity to absorb, digest gracefully, and come back out just as strong, if not stronger. Some of us were in daily contact with him up until the night going into the 19th, it wasn't an illness. This was just some strange work of the Weirdiverse. From what we know and understand for now, is that he went peacefully in his sleep. I know that he didn't sleep for a good three days leading up to it, working his damn ass off, preparing for his move across the country. I believe stress played a good part in it. My deepest condolences to all.
