Day 8 AF!!! It's amazing. This would have been unheard of pre-Bac. I'm going up to 50 mg tomorrow. I had a craving to drink last night while out with a friend at dinner, but couldn't bear to screw up a full week AF. Thanks for everyone's support.

Stay at the schedule you set out to- if you accidently miscalculate a dose, don't alter your schedule to match that mis-dose, just get right back to the original schedule and follow it. So, keep with 50 up til the time you'd originally planned to increase.
Glad you're having great results!!!!

The fact that you aren't drinking while going up helps with the SE quite a lot. When I started my first round with Bac in July of last year, it (I) failed because I continued to drink at night. I had horrible insomnia because of not going AF. I think I pseudo switched at 100mg but ignored it. You are doing it the right way. :goodjob:

Hi all! Day 12! Anyone have any tips on this thought I've been having tonight?
I haven't gone 12 days w/o drinking (except pregnant/nursing twice) in 13 years or so. It feels amazing-however I feel confused as how to live without the worry/planning/preoccupation that came with the full time job that is being an alcoholic. I feel (sounds odd) too free? Does this make sense??

hey YF,
nice job on 12 days.
when i first got sober i was fortunate to have exercise to focus on. i got into the best shape i've ever been in. i'm a real believer in substituting something for the drink. some people critisized me and said i was just substituting one addiction for another. THANK GOODNESS was my response ( and piss off was my other response).
exercise took care of all the anxiety, gave me a goal, rewired my brain, and made me feel really good for the first time in years. don't know if you can or will exercise but even walking and getting the sun in your face is healing. do you like to exercise? do you have any other hobbies or goals that you couldn't do because of the drink and now you can?. go back to school, paint, garden, etc. any passions that need to be realized? anyway, just wanted to say good job and keep it up. gratitude.:goodjob:
