April 30, 2012 I switched at 90 mgs and my maintenance dose appeared to be 50 mgs.
About a year ago, I thought that I could do it by myself, without baclofen and went to zero.
BIG mistake. It went well for a few months, but then the beers began to taste good again.
I went back to 90 mgs, but somehow it didn't work as well as the first time.
I went to 100 mgs and stayed there for a while, but still not the desired effect.
At some times, I drank almost the same as without baclofen.
I went to 120 mgs and have been there for the last 2 weeks.
120 mgs is a big increase, compared to 90 mgs.
Although I'm extremely stressed, f*cked-up and overwrought for quite a while, the switch should have kicked in by now, but last Sunday, as well as yesterday I drank 14 (33 cl, 12 ounce) beers. Strange enough, I didn't drink any with Christmas.
I'm not sure if I wanted to get drunk or if I had to drink, but anyway I think it's rather alarming that I didn't switch by now.
Somehow, I still suspect that my current brand of baclofen, Sandoz, doesn't work as well as my previous brand, Ratiopharm.
Although I experience side-effects, like head-ache and tiredness, for the rest it feels like I'm taking a placebo. I even don't sleep well anymore, in contrary to when I started baclofen. At that time, when I laid down, I was gone in 5 minutes and mostly did not wake before the next morning.
I will increase to 150 mgs today and really hope to switch at that dose. I'm very afraid that the switch doesn't come anymore.
Anyone had a similar experience?
