Increased or even lost switch dose

Since yesterday, I have the high frequency-like headache in the front part of my head, just like when I started baclofen for the first time. Although it's annoying, it's a good sign for me.

The day before yesterday, i was not tired at night and have been shoveling dirt till 3 AM.
After taking a shower, I went to bed at 3:30 AM and fell asleep right away. The 7 AM alarm reminded me that it might not be a good idea to repeat such an action.

    Still no taste for beer.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

Increased or even lost switch dose

4 days AF in a row now, without any appetite for beer.

I'm sure now bad baclofen has been the reason.
F*ck Sandoz! I will inform them at short notice and ask them for an explanation or even send them some of their own crap so they can test what's wrong with it.

I'm so gratefull that it turned out that I didn't loose my switch, but that I had bad bac.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

        X,

This is so good to hear. It's frustrating but now you're on the right path. How's your body feeling after shoveling dirt and the short night?

Better than I expected, actually. Nothing hurted and not extremely tired. I Went to sleep at 10:30 PM the next evening, so that's not extremely odd.
So, it has been forgiven me, apparently.

              X,
I haven't been around much lately, new job out of the States has had me busy. I just got caught up on your thread. So glad to hear that things are looking up. I can't understand how a company selling drugs does not have a better quality control process! Pretty scary really.

Increased or even lost switch dose

Yesterday, I dropped to 90 mgs, because I was feeling extremely light in my head and feeling like I could pass out any moment.
I suspect that it has something to do with switching from the barely working Sandoz brand to the apparently fully working brand of Actavis.

That should be comparable with suddenly increasing your dose from 50 mgs to 120 mgs or something like that.

Anyway, today I'm feeling much better. Thoughts of alcohol are far, far away.

By the way, I sent my former psychiatrist an e-mail regarding the bad baclofen, so he is aware of it in case other patients have similar problems.

Glad you're feeling better! And good for you that you are educating the 'helping' professionals on this.
My first "indifference experience" Saturday January 11, 2014. Thank God for Baclofen!

                      Great news Xadrian.

Generic meds can vary in affect and effect..kind of scary for sure.

Concluding that my recent bad experience was due to bad baclofen and I definitely did not loose my switch, nor did the switch dose increase, I will continue to post on "my" other thread:

Sorry to bump an older thread, but I emailed you Xad and then I thought it might be better to have this discussion where other people could search for it as well and get helpful information.
I was reading your post about the sandoz brand and I'm having a similar situation. I finally found a doctor who will prescribe a decent dose of my baclofen, but like an idiot I took it to a different pharmacy. My thinking was, if I can still fill my rx at the old pharmacy and the new one at a different pharmacy I'll have my entire dosage from reputable sources. Well, that didn't work out so well because now I have this qualitest brand that has way different effects than the ivax. So how did you handle this with the pharmacy? Did you request that they switch brands? Did you ask for the brand name? How do I go about fixing this in the long run with out coming across as a nutjob? Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks X. I do think switching from Pacifen to Lioresal (Sanofi) made me have some cravings.
