Baclofen Dosage/Side Effects

Hi there - for those of you who are taking baclofen (Tough in Texas?) -- what dosage do you take? Do you have to titrate up? Any side effects? Have done the topo -- which was great -- except for the loss of words which drove me crazy in my work. Would love to have something that doesn't cause that.

I googled both Baclofen and Gabapentin and the baclofen seems to have a lot less side effects than the gabapentin.

Any feedback is appreciated as I can't seem to control my drinking without meds..

I haven't tried either but I looked up Baclofen on google and found a study in which testers in a 30 day trial were given 15mg/day for 3 days then 30mg/day for the next 27 days. They had 12 -24 hrs AF before starting the Baclofen.
Those using the baclofen stayed of the alcohol better than the placebo.
