    Loss of libido on Acamprosate

    I've been on Acamprosate since October and have been abstinent since mid-November. To me, its a life-saver of a drug and I seem to respond amazingly well to it! (Hooray!)

    However, it appears to not only take away my desire for alcohol, but also my desire for sex (linked?. I don't mind too much, but I'm concerned that it might not recover when I stop taking it. My question is has anyone else experienced this side effect and has the problem resolved after stopping the medication?

    Yes, I did, and yes, it will go away when you stop taking it.
