    I'm not a mum either and have other friends around my age (which is getting past the point of having children) who also are not.

    Can be seen as strange by those who have, but not that strange.

    Hope you're ok.
    I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

      Well, I can't be a mum, but it took me many years to make peace with the fact I can't have children (probably a consequence of having the chicken pox as an adult - the high fever can fry your "man parts"). I think my biggest issue was my father really enjoyed children and I was not able to produce a grandchild. But he's gone now, and I've made peace with it.
      In the middle of my life's journey, I found myself in a dark wood, as I had lost the straight path. It is a difficult thing to speak about, how wild, harsh and impenetrable that wood is. Just thinking about it recreates the fear. It is scarcely less bitter than death, but in order to tell of the good that I found there, I must tell of the other things I saw there. --Dante, paraphrased
