Lewis congratulations. My indifference to alcohol took a little longer so count yourself blessed. Hey spirit, remember our talking about different levels of alcohol use? Maybe Lewis is younger and just catching his drinking before it takes off.
Lewis, go ahead and take your last dose at a different time and see if it makes a difference. I think a hobby is a great idea. In many ways I'm not the same as I was prebac. I'm not as energetic, social, loud and laughing as much as I did before.
Good luck and keep posting.

Hi Lewis -sorry I sounded sarcastic. What mg Naltrexone were you taking that made you so sleepy?
This is the type of information that can help others -especially now that you have reached your point of indifference. And as Kronk said, you are young and possibly just stopping your alcohol problem before it really gets started. I apologize; I thought your opening thread comment said that you were in dire straights regarding your alcoholism. I guess I am just an ole man.

Oke after the posts from some peoplei didnt want to post on the forum anymore but anyways, since i'm not feeling good and i need some advice here i go:
- since 10 days i'm feeling not good. I am extremely tired, i really feel like a zombie. Plus i cant sleep well, i fall asleep but after 3 hours i wake up feeling very active and i cant sleep again for 1-2 hours, than i sleep again for an hour and so on. I take my melatonin, but i really dont sleep well.
- i didnt drink for 2 weeks, didnt smoke marijuana, did nothing. I have no cravings at all, none. I am only at 30 mg.
- ive been to a the docter he thinks maybe i'm just a little bit sick and tired because i work a lot but i dont know. I dont feel sick, i dont have fever, i do t have pain somewhere. I just dont feel like the person i normally am. Normally i have so much energy, i sport every day, etc. Now its a real mess. I feel like another person.
Is it possible baclo has to do something with it? At only 30 mg?? Normally tiredness etc is when you change your dose ?
I hope i'm just tired and a littie sick. Because baclo is working so well on the craving thing.

I've just been to the doctor. He took some blood. Results will be there tomorrow. If hope he finds some differents in blood levels so that the result is that i'm just a little bit sick. But actually i'm not feeling sick i just feel like a zombie. Yesterday i increased my melatonin dosage to 2 mg, and i slept very well this night, 8 hours straight! But i just feel the same now. Totally no energy, really tired, i have to yawn the whole time, i don't want to do anything. It's like i'm living my life from another perspective.

Lewis
about sleep i can tell you that many people experience this "segmented" nights.
Me too i have them even if right now is going much better.
When we don't sleep well, a lot of other things follows... so i would say that is normal if you are not feeling "super". It will pass, don't worry.
I'm making this survey about sleep (see signature) exactly for this reason, to try to understand how Baclofen influences sleep.
So, first thing i would like to ask you is:
- how do you divide this 30mg of Baclo? (quantity/time).
Based on the answers i have right now in survey and even from personal experience and readings, it seems that a small quantity (maybe percentage??) of Baclofen near bed time it helps to have better nights. Too much disrupt sleep, too less the same.
Second thing. It's really great that you made 2 weeks AF without any craving!
Was not to achieve this that you decide to start the therapy? ;-)
So great! Continue like that and... about all this general changes that you mention (going out less etc) imo you have to put all in a weight scale and see what it gives.
I'm so happy that i'm not slave anymore of alcohol that i easily support the fact of going home first when there is a party, or other similar things... I don't mind. I'm well. I'm much better than before and this is the most important thing for me.
Let me know about your schedule and would be good if you can take the survey, now and later when you will get your sleep back... ;-)
At soonBaclofen started: January 2013
Switch (sort of): April 2013 / ~165mg
November 2014: stable at 45mg: 10AM-15mg, 1PM-15mg, 5PM-15mg

At soon
thank you for your responce. I will do the survey in 10 minutes !!
To answer your questions: i take 10 mg in the morning around 9, than 10 mg around 14, and 10mg around 19h during dinner.
Offcourse i'm very happy that i'm AF without any craving, but to be honest i can't live further like i do know. I really feel like a zombie x 1000. I'm still hoping that it's just a little sickness but to be honest i don't think so. Because it's been almost 2 weeks i feel so tired..
Just in case that i would stop staking baclofen, can i just quit? Or should i titrate down a little bit. Is it a bad plan to stop taking it and see if i'll feel better again and maybe start again later on?
Are there people who quit baclofen for the same reason? Do u think it is possible that i feel so tired only at 30mg?
Thank you so much, i fill in your survey right now. (PS: i just did your survey, the question how my quality of sleep was before baclofen without alcohol is hard to answer because i've always been drinking for the last 7 years or so. Before that i think it was could but i was a child than.)

And i realise everything will be like before if i quit. What is the substance in baclo that makes me feel tired? can't they just find a medication that stops the craving without side effects?
And are there other people who feel just what i describ?

Don't know what to say about this feelings but... if you don't remember your nights without alcohol from last 7 yrs means that your problem of addiction is not so small as i was thinking in the beginning.
Thanks for filling the survey!
About sleep, imo, you can try to split the 10mgs of 19 in 2 parts and put 5mgs 40/50 min before going to bed. (as i always say, i'm not a doctor but i just made some experience on myself and read read read a lot of histories). I think it could help and surely sleeping better will give you back more power...
Up to you to decide if stop the treatment but remember that you CANNOT STOP ABRUPTLY, from one day to the other, even if 30mgs is a relatively small dose.
If you decide to do it :-( make it titrating down 5mgs every 3/5 days keeping attention on the SE you have. And stay few days more if some SE appear.
From experience i have, u can easily expect that unfortunately the craving in some moment will show its face again :-(
Maybe few days, a week, maybe a month or more but is proved that on zero Baclofen (even after switch) the suppression of craving will be lost...
Make your choice.
I cannot say nothing about it but it would really appreciated if you could keep us updated.Baclofen started: January 2013

i've decided to give it more time and look for solutions instead of quiting bac. So 2 things i'll do now, split the evening dose in 2x5mg, and take more melatonin like i did yesterday.
I'll also wait for all the results from my blood test.
i'll keep u posted.
Are there people who have/had the same feeling as i have now? the tiredness? even when they stay at the same dose?

Especially when you only were at low doses.
Or you could stay at 15 mgs if it still works and the tiredness disappears.
However, I doubt that the tiredness is caused by a 30 mg dose of baclofen.
But you just can try. Since you are at such low doses, you can easily titrate up again laterToday is the first day of the rest of my life.
