This forum helps and is really good that exists so thanks MWO.
Let's hope that the Baclofen community will grow more and that tomorrow there will maybe be a dedicate forum here...

oh excellent it has been changed to:

they probably think we are a bunch of basement paranoid freaks after all this..

just one last thing, i think it should read

Naltrexone, Campral, Baclofen and Other Medications

the reason is that nal is the what most people think of when discussing anti craving, i think also that at least looking at htis forum, more people use nal then topa, although no one seems to use campral, so perhaps

I think the fact that they always kept in "and other medications" sums everything up. When you google 'one medication and alcoholism'...many threads on MWO will show up on the search.

Neo, given that the masterminds behind bitcoin and the silkroad were both indicted shortly after that post was made convinced me that "clown" was probably a United States Federal agent (from any number of possible agencies) trolling for more intel. From the New York Times coverage, I don't think the silkroad has even been operational since last fall. That's the biggest reason I've curtailed my activities on this site, because I don't think it is the safest of venues to be discussing these subjects anymore, especially for an American.

Alky - since silkroad went down and the owner was arrested, a group of moderators on the site launched a silkroad 2. the listing were real, i logged in ot confirm it, i have a screen shot. in any case, silkroad 2 ended up scamming the users and is now pretty much dead. but that said, i dont think you have to worry about talking about medications like baclofen online, its pretty off the radar to law enforcement since it isnt a drug of abuse.

Maybe not a drug of abuse, but the only legal way to get baclofen in the United States is with a prescription. And there is a lot of talk here about how to obtain baclofen illegally, whether it is through an overseas pharmacy that doesn't require a prescription, or home brewing (as TerryK put it) your own. I think it's something the authorities may very well be on to, and don't think for a second that some mid-level American federal agent sitting out in a regional field office somewhere a la Agent Schrader in Breaking Bad wouldn't hesitate for a second to expose this and go after it with the full force of the law if they thought it would make a name for themselves.

yeah i agree, the danger especially when it comes to talk of home brewing is that someone tries to do it on the forum, ends up killing themselves (easy to do) and then the persecution begins and the headlines are delicious for a news agency "dangerous muscle relaxant peddled by online drug dealers to vulerable addicts online". talk about any of that doesnt belong on here, the meds forum here is probably the most popular place in the english speaking web for people to find out about baclofen and hence is too important.

ordering online from a pharamcy and giving sources for them, i dont see as a big of a problem, but i can see how a watered down version of that concern is there, a dr should ideally be doing everything, however we are stuck with very little of them willing to help us.

Baclofen is not a controlled substance, so I don't think we have anything to worry about.

It would become a controlled substance if Neo's clever headline actually ever comes into play. That's why we post a lot about the dangers of baclofen and try to keep the entire community from knowing how to "home brew" as it can be very dangerous in irresponsible handlers.

We can order online without a script by the technicality that the online pharmacy's "doctor" reviews the order and reason for it and approves/denies it.
