    BACLOFEN IN NEW ZEALAND

Hi Boombaby and welcome to the site, i hope it can be of great use to you. It's not as busy as it once was but all the information is here for you to read. If you require guidance or help keep posting!! here's some info on a doctor in western australia:

    Western Australia

Dr George O’Neil of the Fresh Start Recovery Programme has been recommended as someone familiar with baclofen. His ABN is: 84 106 876 019 and his contact information is 65 Townshend Road, Subiaco, Western Australia 6008. Telephone: (08) 9381 1333 and fax: (08) 9388 7073. Email: info@freshstart.org.au

i don't know if theres one in NZ but here's the page/thread with information about doctors.::

    https://www.mywayout.org/community/f2...ors-78141.html

Of course, a lot of people on here, like myself, ordered baclofen online (though i did get a prescription from a private doctor). if you decide to go down that route, read very carefully about the titration schedule (increasing and decreasing dosage levels) as they are very important.

Once again, welcome to the site and here's wishing you all the best!!

        Welcome Boom!

I order Bac online. Chelsea is right. Go up slow, and follow the schedule. Hopefully you can find a doctor who can guide you.

          Hi, BoomBaby.

Dr Scott McLaren is in Auckland. He's a wonderful doctor, by all accounts.

Though she's not active on here anymore, I think you can probably still reach SusiesMum if you send her a private message. Perhaps more relevant, try PMing k_iss, who isn't in Auckland, but is seeing Dr. McLaren and is one of us.

I've been free from alcoholic drinking for more than 3 years thanks to baclofen. It works. Take good care.

Yeah that was me - allow me to apologize for that, it was not well-worded at all. I just get really touchy whenever I see the RIP Sticky thread pop up - no fault of yours.

Here's the link to one of the doctors threads. https://www.mywayout.org/community/f2...ors-78141.html

                  And another here https://www.mywayout.org/community/f20/doctors-prescribe-baclofen-addiction-47247.html

I hope you can find someone through there. Otherwise online is an OK route to go. I used Goldpharma and never had a problem, but I live in the US so can't verify how it works elsewhere.

                  All the best. :welcome:

When I read that, I advise you to take note of this:

                    "Baclofen Breastfeeding Warnings
Baclofen is excreted into human milk in very small amounts. One lactating woman received a single 20 mg dose of baclofen and 0.1% of that dose was recovered in her breast milk. However, the effect on her infant, if any, was not reported and no other information is available concerning the effect of baclofen in breast-fed infants. Baclofen is considered compatible with breast-feeding by the American Academy of Pediatrics."

                    "Summary of Use during Lactation
Limited information indicates that baclofen has low levels in milk and would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants, especially if the infant is older than 2 months. Monitor newborn infants for signs of sedation."

Keep in mind that the above information is probably based on NORMAL use of baclofen and not reflects on HIGH DOSE baclofen.

However, according to the info above, a woman that would take 200 mgs of baclofen, theoretically would excrete 0.2 mg baclofen in the mother's milk. I doubt if that would be dangerous for an infant, but as Colin says: Get your doctor's approval. Don't take any risk.
Perhaps you have to consider switching to bottlefeeding before starting high dose baclofen
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

As an overseas Cook island Maori(USA-Washington state)I find Baclofen very useful for cravings and some anxiety even in very low doses. When I first started I overdosed and had a horrible hallucinogenic trip I thought I would never come back from.Be careful with the bacs and follow Doctors orders closely.Very Helpful when taken right, butIf u use it for recreation and overdose Its a nightmare(same as other drugs/meds).Use bacs wisely and u will be fine.Been to Aotearoa for awhile, but have relatives in Canada and Washington state.
