Hey all,
I've been on Bac for about 3 weeks now, and this is my first day going up to 50 mg... I have been on 40 for a week and a half now, but I usually took it all together before collapsing to bed, drunk as usual, so I did not really feel any SE apart from not being able to wake up till noon, as if I had taken a bunch of sleeping pills the night before. Well, today that I have taken it in 3 different doses I have such strong nausea I just wanna rip my midsection out. It's annihilating. Sooo strong. I've read the SE wear off after a while... I guess I just need you guys to confirm it's true, especially b/c last summer when I first tried my hand at Bac the only SE I had was drowsiness... K- just needed some support, 'cos I know this is my one and only way out.... Help me believe pls....

What type of Bac are you on? I never had nausea.

Yes, nausea is one of the SEs I had. Mine was mainly low grade--no food interested me and I ate to fuel myself. I lost 15#. My nausea lasted quite awhile but it was worth it to reach indifference.

Are you taking it with food? Are you hungover? Sometimes when I forget a dose, and have forgotten to eat, (both are more common than I care to admit) I can get a little nauseous.

Yes I will gladly endure it if it's the price I need to pay to kill the monster, but no I wasn't hungover and I was on an empty stomach, yesterday and today (how is it that I drink always the same amount and sometimes I wake up feeling like absolute crap and sometimes feeling normal, like yesterday and today??). The funny thing is that it twists my insides but when it goes away - it lasts a few hours, not all day - I am really hungry...! Maybe because while I have it I can't eat. The label just says Baclofen and underneath 'common brand: Lioresal' so I don't think I am taking some fake stuff, and it is prescribed, so... Now I feel better but last night was horrible. But again, I will gladly endure it to reach indifference. I had read on the other website that somebody here knows a doc in Orlando who prescribes it? My doc won't give me more than one 20 mg pill per day, and that just because I convinced him( I am going up without his knowing), so if you guys know a doc around here that follows the protocol and allows me to go higher, please let me know. I wouldn't mind save a few bucks as well.

Try it with food.

There are definitely doctors in Florida who prescribe. I would go so far as to suggest that there are probably more there than in other parts of the country! I know it's a big state, but a couple of calls wouldn't hurt. I would stick to addiction specialists, as a GP isn't as likely to be interested in treating addiction off-label.

the doc I am talking about is a psychiatrist, not a GP, but not an expert in addiction, so he is just the average mental doc - I am sure you know what I mean...! I'll try to look further for a pro who also specializes in that... Thanks again :thanks:
