Do You Want to Get Sober or Just Reduce Intake?

Hi Hope -I am reposting your post to help many others (newcomers) to know that they are not alone regarding Baclofen and alcoholism. Too often, this silver bullet (Baclofen) theory is exactly what keeps many from succeeding with Baclofen. People need to know up front what they are getting into and what the probable side effects are going to be.

In my opinion, it is critical that a newcomer to Baclofen understand the most probable difficulties and to understand that most all of the side effects will pass at "some" point in time.

Free time from alcohol coupled with Baclofen is awesome -to a degree. When reality starts to settle back in, some have no avenue to deal with this new condition. For many alcoholics, the only known remedy is to start back drinking. And, if one starts back drinking early on while taking Baclofen, then he or she can not distinguish the real side effects of the drinking or the Baclofen. It really does become a dilemma. I think in the end, many end up saying that the Baclofen just did not work.

Baclofen works for the elimination of alcohol from one's life!!!! However, one must know and understand what it takes to allow Baclofen to work.

That's what THIS WHOLE SITE IS ABOUT. Shut up and let people read. Let them ask questions.

There is no "allow." Take the f**king pills and baclofen works. Drinking sucks. Drinking while taking lots of baclofen sucks. Sometimes, not drinking sucks. What a person chooses to do on their way to indifference or after indifference is up to them.

Baclofen can suck. Nobody's going to say it's easy. But you, Spirit, are not helpful in any way.
