What are you going to do today?

I have to get some stuff ready for a garage sale. It is a benefit for a young mom who has cancer. The doctors gave her no hope but the family is going the natural route and they have at least got it to stop spreading. But they have to raise all the money for treatment themselves. Her kids are 5 and 3.

Sigh. I guess I'm feeling a little blue. It's raining. I hope they are able to raise lots of money for her...

What are you going to do today?

        Hi, everyone,

What a pleasure to post here! Everyone gardening good luck with your gardens. X, congratulations on your coming addition to your family and I hope you didn't have another day like yesterday.

Ne, we were walking trails in a huge--60,000 acre non-profit preserve about 50 miles from the Everglades. It's a beautiful area and it was totally dry due to lack of rain. Last year at this time I was there with my dog and ended up carrying him through part of the swamp.

Stuck, I've been feeling out of sorts lately too. I'm just sick of stupid people. So many seem to have lost their common sense and that annoys me. I'm backing down 10 mgs on bac because I feel dull and unmotivated. Maybe this will help. Last time I went to 40 mgs I got so anxious I went back up.

It's my weekend, so happy weekend everyone!

What are you going to do today?

          It is nice here.

Gracie, I hope the day was a success. It's wonderful that you were a part of it.

Sam, HOW DID THE TEAM DO???

Kronk, where we live is on the coast and marshy. Water is pretty amazing. Like seasons in other parts of the country. Sounds like a nice place to watch things ebb and flow. (ahem. Sorry.)

Thanks, bk. I hope you made it through the day, and that you're feeling good about it.

I'm out of sorts today, too. I didn't change out of my pajamas and read all day. It doesn't feel good, but I guess I didn't feel like doing anything. So I didn't. When I wanted to go outside to plant and weed, I decided I needed to get dressed first. That just didn't seem like a good idea. *sigh* I don't feel depressed, but I certainly do act like I am, don't I? Glad I get to go to bed soon and start again tomorrow.

Lost in the semi finals. They were the number one seed going into Mondays game and they started making stupid errors. Thanks for asking though :l

Ne- made it. All this gardening talk inspired me to mow my lawn.. HA! Plan on working on it this weekend to spiff it up with a few flowers and weed some...

Some days on the weekend I stay in my PJ's and do whatever I feel like...

What are you going to do today?

Bk, yay! I'm not a fan of mowing, but I always feel pretty good about it when it's done. It's like painting: Instant gratification and proof of a job well done. Woot! Glad you made it through the day. Mornings are so much better without a hangover.

Sam, boo. Stupid errors. I hate them.

I have no idea what's in store for me today. First thing on agenda, and soon, is to run up to the store because we are out of cream for our coffee. That's a non-starter. It's almost worse than being out of garlic, for goodness sakes, and can lead to crises of global proportions around here. As to the rest, I'm hoping it includes something from the list(s), but I am seriously considering visiting every rescue organization in the area to complete applications for a puppy. Ed's got the weekend off, and we might add to our too-quiet home. It's a secret, though, so no big hurrah yet.

I am changing out of pajamas shortly, to go to the store, and hope to stay out of them for at least the majority of the day. :H

                Peace out, peeps.

What are you going to do today?

Christ, another mower! If we could somehow harness all this energy that is being uselessly spent on mowing lawns just by members of this forum...

All this gardening talk has inspired me though. I have had a plan in mind for ages to grow my own dope in the garden, so I have been researching which seeds to buy. I didn't realise you can spend over $200 for 10 seeds!

After that's done, I am strapping 25kg's to my back and going for a long walk in a hilly neighbourhood in preparation for a hike next month. The Turaco Trail

Not all of us have goats and/or gardeners to take care of the lawn, bleep.

I have pleaded with Ed to grow some of that stuff in our backyard. It would have been perfect in our last place, which had a ton of privacy and great light, as well as a dealer across the street who only sold that, and was generally a really good guy. (And a great neighbor.) It will soon be legalized around the country, although my silly state will be among the last. Ed won't go for it, the old curmudgeon. It was going to make us RICH.

That hike sounds amazing. For less than $300/night you can get someone to carry your bags, guide you and cook for you! (Creates a rather expensive camping trip, but hey. Why not? Except...moneys.) Are you going alone or with a group?

What are you going to do today?

Yesterday, before going to the reef, I bought a snorkeling set and I snorkeled for the first time in my life (after first swallowing some sea water. How would I know the thing needs adjustment before use?).
I really enjoyed seeing the fishies. That means for half an hour or so. I did some swimming with my sons and I read a while in an illustrated book of over 10,000 plants that I brought.
And I drank 3 small (8 oz) beers.

This morning, I'm going to make some invoices and if there's time left I will do some administration.
I decided to take the afternoon off. Half the island is not working today.

Ne, did you try to gro your own garlic? It's really easy as log as your climate is suitable.
It's not as exiting as growing your own weed, but you will never be out of fresh garlic again.

Bleep, growing weed in the backyard is also easy. Although I do not use drugs, I had 1 plant in my backyard when I lived in the Netherlands. Just for fun. Well, the damn thing grew over 10 feet high. It was quite impressive to see. Unfortunately someone stole the whole plant when the flowers were "ripe".

In the Netherlands you are allowed to grow 6 plants or so for your own use. On Aruba they will lock you up if they catch you with only 1 seedling.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

What are you going to do today?

                          Hi all...

Glad to see everyone is either "gardening" or conquering the world...

Funny story.. My grandma had an extreme green thumb and my drug addict mother gave her some pot seeds in which she grew these amazing plants but then her neighbor got arrested for doing the same thing.. She ran out and pulled them up and was very upset... I don't think she understood the repercussions of it... When planting.

Any way.. I am feeling a slight urge to drink.. Nothing overwhelming.. I am tired and I think I will take a nap and I'm craving brownies or cookies or some kind of comfort food... I've got a lot of my mind that I need to journal about.. As I don't like to complain about my relationship.

Hope everyone has a great day..

What are you going to do today?

X, Ed has tried to convince me that it is not an easy crop to grow. He would know, though there were grow lights and stuff involved. (I guess. I wouldn't know.) I was thinking of it as more of a cash crop for when this stuff goes legal, not for personal use. I think they can repo your house or crazy nonsense like that for growing it, though, so he has good reason to discourage my brilliant get rich quick scheme.

Seriously, bleep, I have been wondering all day how you can get away without mowing. Do you not have a lawn?

Sla. Taking over the world takes money. Hence the scheme. My husband is clearly holding me back.

Naps and chocolates! My favorite pastimes these days.

I want to take a minute to follow up. Thanks for your thoughts on the birds, Ne. You're probably right. They had already been on the ground for 4 or 5 days that we know of. Mother Nature wouldn't keep baby birds on the ground long.

I wish I could say more. I've been up since 6:30 going nonstop. I had a panic attack today about everything I needed to accomplish and whether I could get it done. My middle son has been writhing in pain (stomach) for the last few hours. He's sobbing and had a bout of diarrhea. I'm not sure if he's got a virus or what. I asked him if we needed to go to the hospital. He was acting like he was in that much pain. He's finally quiet in bed with a heating pad on his stomach.

Good luck to you Bleep with your pot growing. I make jokes at my job that I'm going to leave to grow medical grade MJ now that it's legal here.

There is a nasty stomach flu going around. We've had it and friends as well.
