I usually get up about 4:30 am. It's kinda late there! Are you able to sleep?

    I found the link:
    First Kudzu experience-- holy shit!

I could never take 100 mg at once. I've taken 50, but even that is really tough. I take 40 mg periodically, but most of the time I'm a 20mg ever couple of hours.

First time I tried Bac I went 1 dose route. I was up to 300mg at one point. I was so f**ked up I couldn't have looked at a beer even if I wanted to. I'd seen Evan and I think Bleep doing it and at the time I was of the idea that I though the one dose punch was the way to do it. I'm still of the believe that it doesn't matter how you take you Bac as long as you get enough in your system. Now when it comes to SEs that's another story. 4 dose seems to be my optimum system atm. Maybe when I settle down I'd like to go the 3 dose or even 2 dose just to make things easier as I'm wild for forgetting my doses.

That's awesome that you're no longer drinking at all, Tim! I didn't know you had made the leap. I also gave it up (outside of the occasional night here and there) when I got to 160 mg. That dose seems to be a sweet spot where I still do very occasionally get cravings, but for the most part, I could care less about alcohol. Not drinking has never been easier. Do you still have any inclination to drink at this dose or do you think you've reached your switch? I know you don't want to go up any higher because of side effects.

Nope, the bender I had a few weeks ago was not good. My wife was out of town and I was so drunk that I couldn't drive to the airport to pick her up. I got my ass chewed for that, and rightly so. So, It was time to get back on the baclofen and on the wagon!

NE, nope, didn't sleep very well last night. I got behind on my bac, so I took 40mg twice w/in an hour. It's the same old thing, can't keep my eyes open, but I can't shut my brain off either...

Rand All: 300mg at once? Wow, that would put me way out there. I remember once when I first started that I think I took 100mg at once. I was so spun out that I think I got sick. And forget sleeping at all that night...and that was only 100mg's.

That whole thing with taking a bunch at one time, a la bleep and Lo0p, still makes me cringe. It's a great way to end up in the hospital. Or at the very least, giving up on the medication that might save your life. I think that bleep's comments are some of the wittiest and wisest around here, and it goes without saying that Lo0p had a huge influence on me, but damn if I didn't get mad at them when they would suggest that people just take a fistful at a time. i know that Lo0p stopped doing that, and I think bleep has tempered that recommendation. (Maybe it's because I would get mad, though.)

I hate it when I miss doses and I still do it way too often. When I was titrating up, and I finally figured out that I needed to take it regularly and consistently or suffer a great deal, I was more regimented about it than anything in my life. Before or since. But it was HARD. Even now if I take too much without food, I can get sick. It has happened after I have to take a bunch at bedtime. My cup of coffee in the morning has sent me to the bathroom. Very unpleasant. But I forgot again today and will take 100 mg in about 20 minutes.

Hope it settles down and gets better for you soon, Tim.

Thanks, NE. I took about 60mg after the golf tournament today, and I'm definitely feeling it. Going to go to bed @ about 8 pm.

                  Hi Tim,
I tried Kudzu, in vitamin then in tea (I went down to a herb/root place and bought the roots to make tea). It didn't really work for me but I do credit it for bringing me to the My Way Out forum. I googled kudzu and it brought me here which in turn got me reading about baclofen and Dr. Ameisen.

So i guess for me, kudzu was awesome!

                  Cheers!

                      Well Hello, Hello!

I'm good! I've been travelling a lot lately, and just enjoying the family and life in general. Gonna be a grandpa soon so got much to look forward to!

I stopped taking Bac in Jan and so far so good. Every so often I drink and every so often I go overboard, but nothing serious (was in Manila last week and celebrated my boss' bday.....peer pressure! LOL)

I still feel blessed and grateful to the great Dr. Ameisen and to all y'all for my life!

How are you?! I haven't had a chance to read up on everyone but it's really great to see y'all still helping!

                      Cheers!

Man it sure is good to hear from you, Tex. You sound good!

I've had my ups and downs for sure, but overall I'm doing all right and have a girlfriend living with me now. She's been out of town for a few weeks, but having her around definitely keeps me more in line.

Tim, good to see you again. I've also had to redo the baclofen thing, a couple of times, and so am surprised to hear you are having trouble with the SE's. Still, you know it works, which I'm sure makes it easier to bear.

You're right, its a weird drug. Weird and amazing.

Hey Tex, good to see you as well! Glad to hear all is well.

Hi bleep! Good to hear from you!
you are the one who could take, what, 270mgs at one time? I just went from 0 to 160 in a couple of days. Way too fast for me! But, I have stayed at this level for a week now and the se's have smoothed out. Even am sleeping better!
