Herbal vs Xanax

I have panic/anxiety disorders that just pop up out of the blue every six months or so. My doctor has me on Xanax but was wondering if there are any natural herbs that would be just as effective without me being so dependent on this drug. My dose is .05 mgs and I don't take it everyday.

Hi Fluff, i suffered terrible anxiety when i was drinking and dr gave me xanax also. I keep it handy just in case and i took one yesterday which is the first time in months (same dosage) as yourself. I know i wont get addicted to it and i know it settles me down so i am not worried that i need it now and again. I am not sure of any herbal remedies but i am sure someone will pop in.
