For those of you ordering Baclofen from River

There are two types listed. One is Lioresal and the other is Becifen. One is much cheaper than the other. Can someone tell me which one to order?

    Thanks,

    Linda

Order the cheaper one. You have to complete your order with River by phone anyway (don't worry, it's not bad at all!), so when you talk to them, specify that you want "Fexobac." I don't think it's listed on the site for some reason, but that's what I've got. It's the cheaper one, and it's the real stuff. Just make sure it's still baclofen that you're ordering and not something similar sounding. I'm not sure if their off-brands change too often. I hope not. I have to order again soon myself. Anyway, that's what I did because I had the same freakout. Good luck to you!

The difference in prices is not the kind of baclofen, it's the dosage. The 10 milligram pills are much cheaper than the 25 milligram pills. It just looks like they are different things, but they're not. (Except in dosage.)

I've been ordering from them for more than a year, and I get the same baclofen every time, so I don't worry about quality control.

It's not necessarily true that the difference in price is due to difference in dosage. I got the cheap brand, as I mentioned, and it's still 25 mg. Definitely follow Fred's advice, though, and stick to whatever brand you start with or, if you do switch, change over slowly.

Aha! Got it. Rather than clicking a brand, I just always click on "baclofen" and whatever comes up I order. I bet I've been paying more than I needed to! grrrr.

I really prefer the Liorseal baclofen made by Novartis. Ok,I do pay a little more but for me it's worth the difference.

Happy Easter to those celebrating! I was wondering the same thing. I had bought Lioresal in the past but it was much cheaper then. So i see Baclofen (Beclfen) at 200 quantity 25mg pills for $110 and then the Baclofen (Lioresal) at 200 quantity 25mg pills for $230. I'm so torn because i know the Lioresal version has worked great for me in the past, but $120 difference is crazy. So torn. Anyone have good experiences with Baclofen (Beclfen)?

Hi Chigg. Sorry for the late response. I didn't come on here last night. I do order the cheaper baclofen from River and have had good results. The active ingredient is the exact same as what's in Lioresal, so it works just fine. The only thing I would caution you on is that the fillers differ from one manufacturer to another, so it's possible that you might have side effects with this one that you did not have with Lioresal. Or maybe you'll have fewer side effects because this formulation works better with your system! The only way to know is to try it, but I would definitely say to try the cheaper route first.
