I was prescribed Topomax for migraines in mid January. At the time I was having migraine headaches at least 5x a week and drinking a bottle of wine 3x a week. Usually while I was cooking and cleaning up the kitchen from dinner - husband rarely drinks. Problem drinker for sure. Fairly recent and stress induced over the past couple of years.
I was worried enough about my drinking to try to stop completely but wasn't successful for long. I can count on two fingers the bottles of wine I have had in the last 6 weeks. No other alcohol either. True indifference - to the point that I had a half a glass of wine last night and poured the rest out.
I am taking 100mg of Topomax and it has gotten rid of the headaches so no plans to quit taking it but can I expect this indifference to continue? If so, it is a godsend!
