    Baclofen

Hi,I haven't been on here in a few years and am looking for an alternative to gold pharma to buy Baclofen.
Hit my switch a while back but started using a different brand that I think was either fake or weeker and it all went to pot and had to go right down.
Looking to start again but wary of what sites to use
Am in the uk so can't get it from my gp
    Thanks in advance

I must say that I didn't get the inferior stuff from gold pharma it's just that they are not selling prescription drugs at the moment

I get mine from River Pharmacy. If you search Baclofen, there will be two options, Liorasol which is more expensive, or Beclfen which is what I order. I've ordered multiple times from them and never had a problem. It does take awhile for shipping (about three weeks) due to customs so I always order early.

I used Baclofen with name namanfen to reach my switch (180 mg)...I was waiting for 2 different shipments to come as was trying to find cheaper ones.because I was worried about running out I slowly went down to 135mg and when Pacifen came I started using that but I reached 245 and still no switch do changed to Mylan and it hit me like a tonn of bricks like I had gone straight in on 245.I was falling asleep at work and was violently sick.i started going down quickly and really wanted to give the whole thing up but someone on another site said stick with it as it worked the first time.
I couldn't get on here at the time because of a java script problem,I was so frustrated .
So this time I want to get it right and order one that is not to expensive and stick with it

Forgot to say that it only took 16 days to reach my switch and didn't touch a drop for 16 days after that until I went down to low.Was usually drinking 2-3 bottles of wine a day

                Hi Nicnak.

Wow! 16 days! I wish...Took me four months the first time and longer this time. But then again, I keep missing doses because I'm a knucklehead.

Glad you're sticking with it if it worked so well for you the first time. River is extremely reliable, I've only ever had one problem and they fixed it immediately. I've been using them for years. You have to call and give them a credit card after you make the online purchase. Which I thought was a little weird, but whatever. It works. Takes about 3 weeks to the U.S.

It must have been frustrating when you were trying to reach out for support and couldn't get here. That's happened to me before when the site's gone down for short periods of time. When I was titrating up and really depended on the people here, it completely freaked me out.

I'm glad you're able to log on now, and have joined us. Welcome back!

I'm glad it had that affect. (Effect? Whatever!)

It has been quite a roller coaster, this learning how to live thing we're doing here. I'm very glad I'm not alone on it.

I'm now on 240 and still drinking but only about half as much but not reached my "switch" yet.
Met with one of the only doctors in the uk to prescribe Baclofen for alcohol and he will write me scripts as and when I need them and I think one of the keys is to stick with one brand as I've been using a few different ones with success as yet but of course I could be wrong. But now I have the opportunity to use the same brand at a much reduced cost. The SEs have been brutal at times but they do diminish but I still have major major tension in my shoulders,I'm crying out for my family to massage me but they seem to be too selfish!
I've had liver and clotting tests and all are in the normal range but I feel so ill and I feel I look jaundiced and have more dark circles under my eyes.Dont know if it's the Bac making me feel ill or alcohol even though I'm drinking less but I feel like I'm being poisoned.
But having said all that I keeping on because i KNOW it works.
Will keep on keeping on but don't know how far I'm willing to go up

                          Nic,

Weren't you at 220 yesterday? Maybe that was just a typo. Bumping up that far that fast would surely make you sick if you're struggling with side effects. I was going up 6.25 mg every 5 days, but have recently increased it to 12.5 every 5 days (1/2 of a 25 mg pill). Slow and steady wins the race and all that. blah, blah, blah . I'm going up to a 5x a day dose. I start when I wake up and then every 3 hours. Helps with the shortness of breath for sure.

I think I spoke a little too soon about having no side effects (on another thread). I had been feeling unusually depressed for me. I am prone to it but it seems to have been building up over the last few days. I just put it down to 'me' but it does feel a little different somehow. My mental state feels different too, but it is hard to describe. I have also had a feeling of pressure in my upper body, which I have read about.

Nothing as yet to alarm me - either symptom, but something to keep an eye on.

Nic, I think bac & alcohol in combination will make you feel unwell - the alcohol potentiates the SE of the bac, it certainly did for me. I get SE now if I drink, but not when I don't. Hopefully, you will feel better once you hit your switch & stop drinking.
