    Mom
I've been in 220 for a while and have been increasing it slowly
Basically I hit my switch at 180 in 16 days and have been slowly increasing my dose since sept 16 and have had worse SEs doing it slowly rather than quickly
I sort of feel that doing it quicker seemed to make it happen quicker but not sure why I'm over my original switch by 60mg a day and still no switch?

      Molly

I originally became indifferent whilst drinking 3 bottles of wine a day and it only took me 16 days, one day I was drinking 3 bottles and the next day I didn't want to drink.I wasn't on here at the time so looking at the posts here about titrating up I can't believe I did it so fast and easily,it's taking much longer now and so the SEs are harder to take

My mental state feels different too, but it is hard to describe. I have also had a feeling of pressure in my upper body, which I have read about.

Nothing as yet to alarm me - either symptom, but something to keep an eye on.
I feel terrible pressure in my upper body.Mine is in my shoulders and I feel very very tense. Also I feel like I'm tense inside if that makes sense,.I feel like I'm holding my insides tight and tense

                  Hi Nic

Sounds like you are pretty uncomfortable.

I have always had back problems, but I started having neck and shoulder issues while escalating baclofen. I just blamed my pre-exsisting condition, but who knows.
I used massagers a lot. I had a full length mat that had massagers in different areas. One was in the upper back position between the shoulder blades. That really felt good. It really loosened the muscles in my upper back. I can't remember what it cost, but it couldn't have been too much or I would not have purchased it. I also had one that you lay your neck in. It felt like rollers or fingers on the sides of your neck. It really relaxed those muscles that go from your lower neck to the top of your shoulders. It also feels great on the bottoms of your feet! For awhile, I used them every chance I got. Just a thought.

Also, what else are you taking. I recall that you were going to get some calmsforte. Mom had recommended it. She would take that and melatonin at night to help her sleep. It has a lot of good stuff in it. If you leave out the melatonin, you could try taking it during the day. It may help those muscles to relax as long as you don't get too drowsy.
Also, there's nothing like soaking in a hot bath. I bought one of those pillows for the tub. When my muscles were really tight, I would soak in the tub and read sections of Allen Carr's "The Easy Way to Quit Drinking". Therapy for two ailments at once, so to speak.

I wish I had more to offer and that there is an easy remedy, but I don't know of one.
It sounds like you are very determined which is probably your best weapon right now.

You said you were drinking less. Is it a lot less? Keep it up.

Hope you get some relief soon
                  Knobert

                    Hi knobert
Yes,I've got the calmsforte,it's helping a bit but still waking up every half hour it seems.
The massagers sound good, will have a look on eBay later.
Up to 240 now where my switch before was 180 so not sure what's going on there but have a proper script from one of the only Drs in the uk to prescribe it so hopefully a bit of continuity with brands will help

Oh and knobert, yes I do love my baths!
I was drinking up to 3 bottles of wine a day and I was down to one bottle but for some reason it's creeping up a bit sometimes I've managed 2 bottles but averaging a bottle and a glass to a bottle and a half

                          That's great Nic
Hopefully it will keep decreasing. Is the decrease because the cravings are easier to deal with or are you just "white knuckling" it?

                          Also---

Have you tried it during the day minus the melatonin? It may help.

                            Hey Ment

I haven't talked to you in awhile, but I've been reading your posts.
A while back, did you say your drinking was decreasing?
Also, this upper body pressure thing. Does it like affect your breathing? I experienced the tension thing in my upper body, which I blamed on my back problem, but I never experienced the pressure thing you guys are talking about. I'm glad I didn't.
Can you explain it a little further?

I have to go for awhile, but I'll check in when I get back.

                            Knobert

                              How are you doing?

No white knuckling for me,I haven't the willpower.
I think that it's been decreasing because I'm so tired but I think I just read mom say in another thread that hers had decreased then when stuck at a certain mg it went up again and I think that is somewhat true.
Will try the calms in the day
