    Cheapest baclofen?

    Hi everyone

I sure hope someone can give me some info.

I'm currently taking 80mg of baclofen/day which is the most my Dr. will prescribe.

I started using baclofen to stop drinking a few years ago after reading Dr. Ameisen's book. I persuaded my Dr. to prescribe baclofen and as I escalated I ordered additional on the internet with her supervision. Everything went well.

But money became scarce and I could no longer afford to continue buying baclofen. Since then I've been trying to get by on my 80mg/day prescription.
The 80mg helps a great deal but I've been struggling for the last 2 years and it's not going too well.

I'm drinking far too much and cravings are frequent.

At the time I last ordered baclofen, I got it from River Pharmacy in 2013. I could get 5000 mg of lioresal for $72.00 u.s.

Now the price has skyrocketed. I try searching but I keep getting the same few pharmacies and they are even higher.

I'm not a computer expert by any means and I'm hoping someone out there can help me as money is very tight.

Any response would be greatly appreciated. lease:

    Just a note
I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Ameisen's passing. He should win a nobel prize if medical dogma would just get out of the way.
I am glad and always willing to be a testament to his legacy.

Hi, Knobert. And welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid I can't help you, though. I order through River. I didn't need to order online until mid-2014 and I can't believe the price has changed so drastically. Super bummer.

I wish you the best in your endeavor! Hang in there.

Did you check out Beclfen at River? That's what I use. Still expensive, but cheaper than Lioresal.

Pacifen tablets 10mg are used to relieve muscle spasms in nervous system disorders like multiple sclerosis. The active ingredient is baclofen and you can buy Pacifen tablets 10mg online from InhousePharmacy.vu

Inhouse pharmacy.vu is the one I use, think its about 30 dollars cheaper for 400 tablets the way I buy it but dont quote me on that as I use pounds sterling

edit: 30 dollars cheaper than the cheapest one i saw on river anyway

            thanks mom

I checked out the beclfen at River Pharm and that's the cheapest I've seen. It comes out to 2.44 cents/milligram when you order the largest volume of 25mg pills.
My last order from River in February of 2013. I ordered 600 25mg pills for $216.00. That comes to 1.44 cents/milligram.
I guess those days are over.
It's disappointing. I went to MEDLINE INDIA where they list baclofen brands and manufacturers and prices. All of these pills we buy are made by pharmaceutical companies in India. What they are charging for their pills is very reasonable so the mark up by the pharmacies we order from must be incredible.
If your interested, the prices are listed in Indian rupees. The latest conversion is 64.7650 rupees=1 u.s. dollar.

One would think that someone out there who truly wants to help people fighting addictions wouldn't take such a large mark up.

I"m just wondering if I just don't know enough about pc's and wonder if I just don't know how to search well.
I'm sure all you guys are computer wizzes compared to me.

Thank you so much for your reply and if your searches turn up a cheaper pharmacy, let me know and I will do the same for you.
I see you have been a member since 2012. You must be very good at using these forums. I'm struggling but I'm learning fast.

I hope everything is going well for you and if you want an ear, I will always listen.
            Thanks again so much

              Hey Dan

              Thanks for the tip.

I'll check it out right away.

I also replied to Mom and explained further.
I just wonder if someone who's better with pc's are able to do more effective searches.

If I find a cheaper pharm, I'll post it on this thread.

              Thanks again

                Hey Dan

I checked out In House Pharmacy.vu
That's the cheapest price I've seen for 10mg pills. 2.7 cents/mg if you order 400. The brand they sell is Pacifen.
River Pharmacy cheapest is 2.44 cents/mg if you order 25mg 200 count. 2.56 cents/mg for the 100 count. That brand is Beclfen.

There are a ton of different brands out there.
Some others are: lioresal, liofen, Baclof, Bacmax, Spinofen, Kemstro, Lyflex, Miorel, Solofen, Riclofen just to name a few.

They are all the same as they all contain the baclofen molecule as long as the quality is there.

I like the 25mg pills. As you escalate, it greatly decreases the number of pills you have to swallow.

                I'll keep looking.

                Thanks again for the info.

                Knob :thanks:

Inhouse took £80+ from me, never delivered and refused to answer any correspondence. I told them I was getting my cc company involved and got one response that it was being escalated to a supervisor. Then no further info - they also refused to respond to the cc company. So I would avoid them. Also in the UK it was always stopped by customs and I had to pay a hefty amount.

River pharmacy have been terrific! And they suggested a cheaper brand than lioresal. The mail arrives within a week or 10 days and is never stopped by customers.

                    Hi Spellers

I'm sorry about your experience with In House. I'm not advocating anyone. I'm just listing the price. Other people have ordered from inhouse with no problems.

Secondly, in the post above yours, I stated the price I listed was for Beclfen. Not Lioresel. I have ordered from River numerous times in the past and they are wonderful. Once again, I'm not advocating anyone. I receive pharmacy info from our forum and from searches, do the checking, and post prices to try and find the cheapest price for me and for everyone.

I sure hope you get things straightened out with InHouse. I'm glad you posted your experience.

I don't know how it works in the UK but with my cc that I use, if I don't receive the product, and I alert the cc, I am not held liable.

Anyway, I hope everything is going well with you and your fight against addiction. Keep posting. I've found there are terrific people here.

Never a problem with in house, nal,bac and antabuse 6 days to UK. Saying that I don't use my debit card, I've prepaid for that. Since goldpharma stopped its my go to. River unless bying bukk is out of my price range

Thanks Knobert! my cc reimbursed me. But after getting a few orders from in pharmacy i was shocked with the bad treatment tbh. literally ignored all correspondence when shipment went missing. And as I say, river doesn't get the customs red flag and charge that is higher almost than the product. Before that I was using GoldPharma who were wonderful - but for some reason they stopped shipping within Europe.

I appreciate the info. And thanks again.

ah I see gold pharma are still not shipping. such a shame! they were tremendous. inhousepharmacy are fine unless your order goes missing - then they won't reimburse/replace (which is what I asked) and ignore you. River suggested a cheaper brand to me without my prompting, which I though nice.

NoBert -I am slightly confused about the above information (I stay that way about everything -lol).
You state that your doctor will only prescribe up to 80 mg/day, yet she is supervising you to use more (ordering on the internet).

If she is supervising you taking more baclofen, why does she not simply prescribe you more?
If you are ordering additional baclofen with or without her knowledge, how do obtain prescription medication without a prescription? If I wanted to order prescription drugs online or otherwise without a prescription, how would/can I do that? Is this legal in the United States? (buying without a prescription)

Thank you for any information that you may provide.
