Baclofen - Leaves a nasty taste in my mouth ?

Been on HDB for almost 18 months. Although I gave up the booze, unfortunately took up smoking again

So every morning for the last 18 months I have woken in the morning with a mouth that tasted (I thought) like an ash tray :egad:

April 1st I stopped smoking (again) and full expected a month later the ash tray morning feeling to have subsided - But no!

So my question is does any other Baclofen users wake with a offensive mouth (worse than usual anyway)

For me Baclofen is a diuretic, I pee lots.....and lots - I blame this for causing the dehydration overnight that gives me a bac-hangover - Might this be causing my ash-try mouth?

I gave up cigs and al 23 days ago. Had trouble with focus and some irritability in 2nd week so went onto Bac @ 10mg x 3 /day .The "good" feeling seems to have worn off the last week and this morning I woke up with a sore throat and know I had been snoring. Don't know if bac is relaxing those throat muscles like AL. I only have taken a dose today at 7.10pm to see what will happen when i cut back a bit

OH yeah especially if you puke after taking it. Nothing like i've ever tasted. Swallowing pills I taste hardly anything unless it comes back up. I drink a chai tea after taking it to prevent that. Wondering if an empty stomach taking it does something wierd.

Agree with Neo - probably something to do with altered sleep/snoring?/sleeping more deeply than usual so swallowing less during the night therefore mouth stale in the morning.

Most pills taste lousy if they don't have a hard, sugar coating or are in a capsule form. Baclofen is old so no manufacturer of it is looking at making it more palatable.
