Hi Guys, I started campral 3 weeks ago and haven't had a drink for near on 4 weeks. For me it has been great, the cravings have almost stopped. i say almost because if i think about it(having a drink) then my body wants it but not so badly that i can't just dismiss it. No side effects really to speak of, a bit of a stomach upset the first week and felt a bit fuzzy (that could have been the body not use to being sober too) but after that nothing to report. campral has been really really good for me but I'm interested to see if it keeps going or my body will slowly get use to it and will start craving grog again as happened on topamax (also got the zombie effect). in the mean time i am working on the triggers that cause me to drink in the first place. depression, anxiety, lack of self confidence all those other issues. I have also found that I put on weight with it but hell i was fat anyway from the grog at least this way I'm heathy fat not drunk fat...keep up the good work and I'll keep you posted on the campral progress.

Question about Campral
I have been drinking heavily for the last 12 years. It got to a stage that I would have a beer first thing in the morning and keep going for the rest of the day. I was sacked from work as I was caught drinking at work. After 2 rounds of acute pancreatitis, I decided to put an end to this habit as it was ruining my marriage and life. I was put on Campral by my GP and I have not had a drink in 35 days. No cravings. This is a very effective medicine, that is if you really want to quit and is willing to give Campral a go.
