pressure in my head on topa
I've been on topa for about 8 weeks, I made it to about 150 mg for about 3 days and went back to 100mg. I have really cut my drink down, almost to nothing. One reason was that I had to go and get some more blood work done. My liver enzymes were really high (I even have a liver biopsy, not fun). I went about 30 days no alcohol and retested. Good news, liver back to normal, The docotr was impressed. Bad news, I went on a little "celebration" for about two week. I drank pretty much the same way I use to (10 beers or more a day). Now my head feels like it has this strange pressue built up in it. It's hard to explain, and the topa fog has been much worse. I have cut the drinking back down and even went days without, but still the pressue in my head. I'm now titrating back down on the topa and still trying to drink less. Has anyone had this problem? Also does anyone just take 50mg of topa? and is that effective? That's were I think I want to stay. I'm back to 50mg now and the pressue seems to be getting better. I did tritrate down a little fast. 100mg to 50mg at once did not seem to have any problems.Tags: None

pressure in my head on topa
Is it a pressure in your head or in your eyes? If it feels like eye pain or pressure you need to stop the topa immediately as that can be a very serious side effect. Other than that I have no other advice. Hope it works itself out for you!!I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me

pressure in my head on topa
I just got back from the eye doctor and my vision is good, but he was concern about possible signs of glaucoma. Now I'm scared on what to do. Do I stop topa cold turkey or what. I'm at 50 mg I just cut back a couple of days ago. He said he was not to worried but wanted to send me to a speacilist to see for sure. He said the "blow air " in your eyes test was not all that accurrate. I will call my doctor tommorrow and asked her I guess.

cloudjockey: what are the "possible signs" you refer to? My eyes have been very dry and itchy lately and I have also cut back from 100mg to 50mg on the topa. I don't know if the itchy dry eyes are from the topa or allergies but the glaucoma thing scares the hell out of me and from what I've read (which is very little) there does't seem to be any symtoms or cure. I've been thinking of stopping the topa cold tommorow to see if the ithcy dry eye thing goes away. I'd hate to have to stop the topa because tomorrow is 80 days AF for me but I don't want to go blind.

Barry, from what I understand if you stop the topa the symptoms will go away. The topa will not cause blindness unless you stay on it despite these symptoms. I would recommend going to seen an eye doctor.
And congrats on the 80 days. That is amazing!!!!I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me
