I am a binge drinker - help!
Hi UK, I too am bingeing and lost it good style the last four weeks to the point that my job may be on the line - I dont know. Today is day 2 but I am very fearful especially over the job situation. This is the first time that I have been close to losing stuff. Take care of yourself and try to stay close to the boards. I will be puttimg some AA meetings back in as well.

binge drinker
UK Blonde - I am so sorry to read about what happened! This person should have to face the MWO firing squad!!! I too have been raped after being in a place where everyone was drinking - I was very young and he told me to hang up my coat in his room (frat) and cornered me - I had been drinking - like I said I was very young and it obviously hit me fast and hard and I woke up to him on top of me - DISGUSTING.... he bragged about it for days afterward - (what the hell is there to brag about)???? It bothered me for years - but it just shows that AL makes the criminal and the victim both at a bad place!!! I hope you are feeling ok - it wasn't your fault and I hope you know that.... much love and keep fighting....

Hi UKBlonde,
My heart goes out to you and I am so sorry to hear what happened to you recently.
I can totally relate to your post. I have put myself into some terrible situations over the years due to AL and have made some not just silly but incredibly dangerous decisions. Being honest I should call them happenings as I do not remember them enough to recall that I was with it enough to make a decision. I have slept with people that I should not have. No one forced themselves on me, I put myself there, but I cannot say either that they did not take advantage of me. I have also many times put myself in danger by countless things - going to parties with guys I did not even know etc.
More recently I feel I have been putting others at risk, mainly my kids - few nights where I do not remember going to bed, not locking up, leaving them on their own while they were asleep for a few minutes while I nipped to the offie to get some wine, sometimes drinking during the day - if anything had happened during those times I dread to think. Whatever about myself when they come into the equation it pushes me to want to change and the main reason why I joined back in March.
In those situations I thank that it was not worse and add it to my list of reasons why I just cannot do this anymore.
Move on and add it to your ammunition kit as to not to do it again.
Best Wishes
:h
