    Desperately need help

Chelle, just read this, wanted to tell you that I had a similar experience with my Dr.! And it's so frustrating, not an easy thing to do to get a new Dr, esp where I live, you are stuck with your Dr. here for months until paperwork goes thru. Glad to see you are getting help here and that you are on your way. You can do it! Don't give up!

It's all been said. Chelle, dump the asshole doctor. There are lots of doctors. And clinics. Marbella, good for you.

And NAN: I am so, so sorry about Jack. I do hope he pulls through and recovers. I am a dog person, too, and I know you must be devastated. Come back and tell us how he's doing, when you can.

Marbella - Im sorry to hear about Jack, I hope he recovers well.. will say a prayer for him.

KTB - nice to meet you! Yes, the support here is fantastic, its basically got me through the day.. I dont know what I would have done without this forum.

Passed out last night, and my partner must have put me to bed because i cant remember going to bed at all. It's 4am here now and im awake, shaking with a massive headache. Ive poured out all my wine in the kitchen sink.

You will be fine Chelle, lots of water lots of rest and keep reading and posting. There is light at the end of this dark tunnel and your fiance obviously loves you very much. My hubby has put up with so much shit from me over the 21 years we have been married but he is always there for me, that's what keeps me going.
                Stay close x

                  Chelle

Maybe if you have been drinking 2 to 3 bottles of wine a day for any length of time you might have to come of it slowly- taper it off while waiting for the antabuse?

I think it can be quite dangerous just to stop from one day to the other. When I am going to stop I have a day or two inbetween where I just take one or two sips every hour- it helps with the withdrawal if you don't have medication.

Please take it easy and don't be hard on yourself.

                    Desperately need help

I was wondering this morning about how my body would react to going from 2-3 bottles a day to none at all.
I read somewhere that it can be fatal?!
Gee... sounds like a lose-lose situation! Killing myself with the drink, or killing myself suddenly coming off it!
Will try to taper off while im waiting for the antabuse to get here.
