Im not a dr, but I think so. Ive been worried about my kidneys too, so Im chuggin on water. Try cranberry juice, it always helps when I have kidney pains. If it doesn't go away in a day see a dr. Kidney problems can get bad fast.

      Lower back pain?

Hi, this is really spooky, I just logged in and haven't done so for exactly one year!!!! Guess I am making yet another New Years promise to be broken. (Ever the optimist). But I have this pain as well, and quite frankly (haven't had a drink in 3 days - big wows) but have spent the last 3 days in agony stairing at my pee every time I go to the loo. Well, pee seems to be a normal colour now, and back pain diminishing (low back like if you put your hands on your waste? waist? and slid them down a bit. Is this the same as you Bunky? Anyway just want to say - am on the Wagon (yet again) and wish everyone on here great success for 2009 (perhaps it'll be our year huh).
      :lI'd really rather be skiing:H

          Feel here...

          Bunky,
You have 2 kidneys, one on each side. If you feel on your back or someone else's where the ribs meet the spine; this is the area where the kidney is(The costovertebral angle) . Your liver is on the right side of your body. If it is enlarged, you can feel it in the front, poking down from your rib cage. Your gallbladder is tucked up in your liver area and can cause its own pain and problems. Problems with any organs or pains in the areas where these organs inhabit must be investigated clinically and shouldn't be guessed at by laypeople.
I'm not a doctor but I will role play for fun or profit..:anyone:
