I don't know if you are male or female and actually this goes for either sex .... drinking in public until you are unconscious leaves you open to :
rape,
robbery,
violent assault,
identity theft,
loss of kids and family,
loss of a spouse and
murder ....
take your pick .... it's your choice ....

I would suggest you contact your doctor for medical help contact AA or any other support groups where you can get more individual support and ask others (as you have here) to mail you for support ...

I called them a couple of years ago and any nervousness and apprehension disappeared once the guy said 'hello'.

Fortunately Bunky, you didn't. I hope that you're feeling better this morning. I know the guilt and other horrible feelings you'll be going through just now, but stay strong and stay dry and they will all dissipate and you'll start feeling somewhat normal soon.
This is a very good thing that you're doing for yourself and your family. Remember that. It's going to help make you the person that you want to be.

I was here from June of 06 until I finally quit on April 8, 2008. Quit a few days, drink for months, quit a day or two drink for months, stupid, all those years, wasted, all that time that could have been better, with my kids, better time at work, better time with my husband my parents, my family, my friends... It's so simple. I haven't had a single problem that has been related to alcohol, since I quit. Everyone may be saying, "Well dahhhh" But think about it. We are making our lives so much more complicated, dramatic, problematic, and difficult than it needs to be, when we drink. Life is very simple and very pleasant for me now, without alcohol. Also L~gtutamine power from the health food store put under your tongue helps stop the cravings in a natural way. It is tasteless and cheap. You can beat this.I know you can !!!

this is my second post i've been reading these usually after a night of too much to drink. you all know the feelings from what i've read. i'm just soooo embarassed. I don't have the nerve to ask my dr for medicine. can I buy the kudzu at a health store?

You can get it here..see the health store link above..but dont ever be embarrassed to talk to your Dr...
If anything....getting taken away in an ambulance..(or anything worse) is way more embarrassing..think about that
