    Anxiety and Stomach Issues

hi, i used to take melatonin to sleep but it really knocks me for a loop and makes me sleepy the next day. i will see about that for anxiety since i am already on meds.

boozeh, yes, i have l-glut and kudzu. that is all i have. the sweet potato and tea were fine. i went to the grocery and got more fruit and veg and some high fiber wheat bread. eating a slice of it toasted, plain and some grapes. water with lemon. no diarrhea yet but feel very tired. i took a nap. no energy. still scared. is it still early stages? i feel like a fool. like i've been in this bubble of not really thinking about what this crap does to my body. looking in the mirror, i saw someone other than me but didn't think it was that bad. i feel ashamed.
i thank you all again. i will keep going.

I think some of the supplements can cause stomach problems, esp if you are not used to them. Though I haven't heard about that Kudzu and l-glut. So you are not taking anything else?

You might want to also check out other causes aside from not drinking. Of course a lot of problems are caused by stress and anxiety and I think bossman's suggestions are great if that is the cause.

Try to eat smaller meals, so less to digest.

Hey I see you have the l-glut and the kudzu but you dont say whether you are taking them or not. If you are maybe its the kudzu as that did give me the runs and green poo when I took it. TMI I know! I stopped taking it after a while as it just didnt agree with me but I kept going with the L-glut which is the missing link for me as a binge drinker (helps/stops binge triggers by keeping blood sugar level) I also have a type of IBS (fructose malabsorption) and cant eat certain types of food including a lot of stuff grown in the ground so could well be the kudzu if you are taking it.

i don't think tons of milk thistle is good...take the recommended dosage.
f you have had ibs, i would definitely go to the dr. about this...make sure and tell him/her the color of your stool and your al history.

          hope you are feeling better!

I called the doc's office at 8:09. They opened at 8 am. At 8:09 all of her appointments were taken. I left a message with her medical assistant. The person on the phone sounded pretty cold to my concern. So sad that the medical field ( for the most part) has turned into this. I don't know who else to call. I find there is a lack of caring doctors and williness to see patients in a timely manner where i live now. didn't have that problem where i am from. odd.

Lots of supplements will give many people digestive issues whether they ae withrawing or not. I would lay low on the milk thistle for now. You are healing your liver just by not drinking!!!!!! I'm soooo proud of you, you can handle anything sober, you really can!

I can relate as I am on day 6 AF (Day 8 since the last binge) and I am still suffering anxiety symptoms. Sometimes I start to feel much better and then I start to get the sweaty palms, hot flushes, all around "nervy" feeling, tingly...Sleep is difficult...

I won't have access to new anxiety meds until Monday and I am seriously considering having a few drinks tonight (truly, just a few) to temporarily calm my system until I can get on some new anxiety meds and go AF long term.

I thought I would be back to normal by now so the thought of what's going on is of course feeding the anxiety animal in me.
