I'd do 1/2 bisque and 1/2 boullion. Enough for a cup al together. slow simmer uncovered for an hour or so. If when you think it's ready and you think you want it thicker, add a spoonful of cornmeal and stir. If you don't have cornmeal (:H I only have cornmeal for this reason) crush up a cracker or two or even cookies. I know!!! but I swear they put chocolate in cincinatti chile!

Good 2 see u colbe, after last night, Stew is wonderful.....you need to have some yourself.
Follow greenies recipe and add season salt and fresh ground pepper if you have it.

Serve it with some of those easy popcan type bisquets...if you have them. This might warm your insides and make you feel abit better. If no bisquets, use toasted bread.

Good to see you moving on and wish you the very best!

OK - I just ate quorn. First time. I'm eating quorn while I'm thinkiing how to get colbe to make a stew. How funny is that?
Oh man, you ate quorn?!!! (For you carnivors, that is a soy product). I love that stuff...can't find it around here though. Not to be confused with corn

I have used one before, but it's been a while. Spices, (no garlic unfortunatly) peppercorns (is that a spice?) and italian stuff. Tuscana (whatever that is) garlic & onion shake, crushed peppers.
OK. You can use the crock pot - it's only 3 PM.. do the meat like I said and the onions and carrots. Dump it in the crock pot. crumble a half of the boullion cube and sprinkle it in there. Give a few hearty shakes of the tuscana stuff and 2 shakes of the crushed peppers. 2 shakes of the italian stuff, Stir it up, cover it up, put it on high, and get on the couch with your clean self and read.

No!!! no oreos!!! Jeez! Just crackers. Ginger snaps would be OK, but I draw the line there. You might not need a thickener.

By the way, it was the quorn with cheese & cranberries.

                          WHO CALLED MY HUSBAND?!
He politely picked up all of my spice rags, I mean snot rags, and stuffed them in my purse because I didn't clean them up last night. Yup, I see your true colors now. Who is not afraid to come for dinner? I am starting to cook now. I have to take the batteries out of all the smoke alrms first just to be safe.

Good for you colbe! Did I read correctly earlier in the thread that you were going to put BANANAS in a beef stew? LOL!
I've been walking, a long and crooked path. Come my restoration, wash my body clean...

well, nobody advised me to add the banannas, so I left them out. I got a plate out for ya LTG!

Hey, on another note...(having to much fun I guess...nice break for me) I didn't get any responses (opinions) on the muscle relaxer question. Good idea, bad idea?
