        Thanks, RJ!
I believe that Roberta Jewel is the "CORE" of this website. It is because of her intense curiosity and dedication that we benefit from. It is her book that was and still is the catalyst for this website. Like many others, I am so grateful to RJ, it is because I found this site in Sept. of 2007 that I finally found My Way Out of the horror I was living as an alcoholic. It is from the support of so many others here that I am able to continue with living sober and completely without alcohol in my life. Today I am truly living a fulfilling and happy life......all to RJ and her book and her big heart for creating and maintaining this very special place!

IMO, all who come here should be thankful and respect this place and it's author. Respecting Privacy is basic to respect!

        Thank you Again, RJ!!
        Love and Light!

I did not mean anything by it

Guess at least it got the much wanted input from Rj though. I only got alerted that people were upset due to a private message....which I replied it was easy to find....thanks to the web...but this is RJ's site and I would honor her wishes to be involved or not. If I was out to do anything malicious I would have posted her name and address No intention of that....I am just grateful she still has the site going for free. And I am sure those who are on the paid subscriber list hear more from her...but, I am not offend by that at all.

And for anyone who thinks you have to put more than 5 minutes into it...its not like I spent days searching her down. It just the way of the world....its very easy to be found. Like it or not. Hey, I am not happy that I type in my name and up comes a google map to my house. Thank God I do not have any stalkers at the present moment.

But it should be a heeded warnng....the web is here and anyone of us can be found. I just respect her privacy and I am grateful she created the site.

So I apologize RJ that my post was out of line. That really was not my intention. But I can see how it was taken that way. Intentions come across bad in posts.

RJ, I would like to thank you for offering the tools and products that helped you find your way out, but allowing us the freedom, on YOUR discussion forum, to discuss not only the My Way Out protocol, but any other sobriety protocol that people wish to discuss. People are not pressured to buy the products that you sell or to consider the My Way Out method as superior to all others. Every discussion board owner out there would not be so generous.

I'm not sure if I would be sober today, or even alive if not for this discussion forum. There aren't enough "thank yous" to thank you for that.

IMHO, I believe RJ may feel that by being personally involved in posting and easily accessible, people would be leaning too heavily on her every word as the absolute truth and the only way to do things. By doing things the way she does, she can have input but we, the members, are allowed to work things out, talk them out, together, and to govern ourselves in a democracy, not an aristocracy. I appreciate beyond words that she founded this place. Without it, I would probably still be the drinking, lonely, scared woman I was when I came. Thanks RJ, and all those who daily inspire me to live my real life.

And she deserves, and is ENTITLED, to both her privacy and how much she chooses to participate.

I have to add my voice in a resoundingly grateful..." thank you RJ!" People on this forum picked me up when I felt it was hopeless to carry on. And I hope she makes a good profit from her products, she deserves it.

Yes the web is here and any of us can be found. Big deal. Are you trying to teach grandmas to suck eggs? We are on a site for people with a drink problem, and many of us have revealed our 'real' identities to people we have connected to on the site, but I think we all have utmost respect for those who choose not to and each others privacy here. It is not quite the same as finiding your house on google maps or street view.

Yogaheart - I wonder if you really understand how as a member on this site you should respect other members.

I have hardly posted here for months and don't care if I never do again, but it is my birthday today and as a present to me I will take the opportunity to say Thank You to this site and RJ, and the possibility she has always given that we can become a customer or not- she treats us the same.

When RJ did her research, (Years Ago) the best med she came across for alc cravings was Topamax. She warned of possible side effects and simply gave her own experiences with the med.

Since then, thanks to this board, it has emerged other meds are possibly more effective to stop alcohol cravings etc, with less side effects. To my knowledge RJ has never stiffled free speech on this board although it may have not coincided with her original views and research. Try to find another site like tha t- particularly an addiction site.

This site is affiliated with River Pharmacies, which again to my knowledge is a very reputable company to order your meds if you cannot get a script. Again, when it has been discussed on the board that XYZ pharmacy is better/cheaper/faster RJ has allowed all that discussion to continue. Do you think other boards allow that - to recommend other sites above their affiliated sites?? I categorically tell you they don't.

RJ's generosity in all is astounding, and personally I don't think any member should forget it!

While I understand our fierce protective feelings toward RJ, I think Yoga made a sincerely apology (I'm the one that IMd her) and she didn't kill anyone, forgive and move on. My two cents. :l
