Amy, I don't know your Mom and had never talked to her here at MWO but I just want to thank you for posting again and for letting us know the latest news. I pray that she will recover and that the brain activity is a sign that she will get well. We almost lost another member recently and she is now on her way to fully recovering. Hopefully that will happen to your Mom as well. We can all understand how stressful this is for you and surely anyone else in your position would have reacted as you did. You sound like a very loving daughter and your Mom is lucky to have you with her. Be strong. Again, praying for the best...Stirly

I only posted when I was pressured from the cops....I'm sorry....my Mother is dying and it really hurts....

It is always an option of course to use the "report post" feature to things you find objectionable. You just won't see a lot of visible intervention from moderators. (unless of course, something changes with that! )

HELP!!!
Oh, Mama Bear.....you made me cry in a good way, and not that I wasn't before!....thank you for being so sweet. My mom always called me "Baby" or "Midge"...even though I outgrew her by the age of 11!!! She's a beautiful, tiny little woman.
I know, despite it all, that she loves me. I finally also know that she suffered physical abuse from my father (they can't hide her hospital records from me now that I'm of age!). I always suspected it anyway.
He beat her so badly, she was in the hospital twice with broken bones in two years and was, well, if she can't say it, neither can I....let's just say that before I was born, she was carjacked and injured by a man. Ladies, make SURE YOU LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!
I cut off any connection with my father years ago.
Still here with my family, so I'm okay. But she's unresponsive. Another EEG is scheduled for this evening. I'm cr*pping my pants because I don't think it will show anything. Of course, I HOPE it will!!!!
If I ever get my mom back, I'll make sure she's okay!!! I'll stay with her night and day. I CANNOT LOSE HER!
Will I ever stop this crying?....I'm a complete mess....
Thank you all for allowing me to vent my feeling here.

HELP!!!
Amy....that's my little sister's name......:h
We are all adults on this site and we are all finally putting on our big girl panties and trying to deal with the demon of alcohol.....
It makes sane, rational, sweet happy people into blithering idiots that will do anything for their fix.
It probabaly should be illegal!
You be there for your sweet mom and you make sure that all your young adult friends know what happened to your mom....become a teacher and an advocate against this horrible addiction....
the longer I stay sober the madder I get at TV commercials, billboards, TV or anything glorifying booze. My husband rolls his eyes since he is a moderate drinker....
I have a son one year younger than you and if you ever want to PM me, just do so and I will give you my cell number...you need a Mommy right now and I will be happy to help in any way I can......you can cuss, scream, yell, laugh , cry or just sit silently and we can listen to each other breathe
I am here and praying for your Mother......I love my family more than alcohol.:h
Live in the Solution....not the problem

HELP!!!
Dear Amy,
I've been on my knees praying for your Mama, you & your family. I understand she was trying to get to God. There was a time I felt so much pain, so hopeless, so alone, that in my mind & heart I thought it was my only choice, was to be in his arms. The only way to make the pain stop, to finally know peace.
I'm so so sorry... I'm so so sorry... for any one who gets to such a low, low place inside. I'm sorry for my family & any family who has or is going through this... My youngest daughter who loves her mama the way you love your mama still tears up 8 yrs later. She's a freshman in college too. Wants to be a nurse like your mama.
I will continue to pray. Please Dear Father~ God, you know Gumdrops name, please save her, help her, restore her, have mercy, guide the medical staff, touch her & heal her. Please bring her back to her family. Please send the comforter to her family. I pray for a miracle... I believe in you..., your power..., your grace..., your love... I ask you in the name of our gentle & humble Jesus.
Would someone please start lighting candles for gumdrop? I don't know where the site & link is. We've seen miracles happen before...
Sweet Amy, if you'd like, I also will offer you my cell #. When you see your mama whisper in her ear how much God loves her, how much her family loves her, that even strangers love her. I believe there are angels with her. God Bless You...

But - I did not mean your postings, so don't hesitate to come back as often as you like. We'd like to stay up to date with your mom's status & have you let her know that we're all out here thinking of you & your family.

Gumdrop,
Praying for your Mother. I can only imagine how you feel. Stay strong for your Mother. God works miracles every day!Work like you don't need money,
Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching.
